'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

What I simply cannot understand is why do so many of you give such a **** over one single recruit who plays a position that we are NOT in dire need of?? If he goes to Florida....he goes to Florida. The destiny of our program is not severely altered either way. Our OL is talented and deep, albeit young. If Humphries goes to Florida, WE'LL BE OK!

It's about beating Florida, hanging with the best, and pulling in a top flight recruit.

No, it doesn't matter in the sense that we need immediate help on the OL. It matters because it boosts the image of our program.

I wasn't calling them out. Honestly just wondering if they are still hearing anything positive.

Well, I wish you were calling them out. They are giving lots of fans a false sense of hope and security. I know SBVs rep and all, but OCI, I get the vibe he is straight trolling.

On a general note, a lot of people called DJ to UT a long time ago and were sure about it.

OK, it's pre-season doldrums. Expecting to catch the Gators in disarray, Vol fans want to play the Florida game right now. Sept. 17 can't come soon enough for the Big O.

So this recruiting tug-of-war is foreplay.

But there are about 10 things that need to happen for DJ to end up in G-Ville. We're on item #3.

It is probable that Florida's attempt to run a Pro Set offense will not succeed in 2011. It is also probable that Florida will not do better than last year's 8-5 record. Demps and Rainey will graduate, as will Brantley.

Let's stay classy.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm still not sold on OCI either. I'm sure SBV heard some good things about DJ to UT but it does seem things might have changed. It sure would be nice to know all the details there.

It proves your coaches can reqruit with the best out there!!!

Don't hold out any hope, if you do you are setting yourself up for failure. The tone of Hubbs in the warroom was pretty clear, this one is over. He is never wrong when he says we aren't getting someone.

Griddie is the only one that knew what he has been talking about the whole time. Even DJ himself has said Florida is the leader for months now. Tennessee has never lead for Humprhies.

Bottom line is we have been trolled hard.
And you would be straight up wrong on this one.

His dad could not get off work to take him to FNL. And a ride by Collins would have been an NCAA violation if I'm not mistaken. And there was no switch. I got all my info from the Mallard Creek side and they see him on a daily basis. So no there never was a 'switch'. He has always leaned to the Gators, but genuinely likes the Vols. Like I said Collins was the biggest difference.

The info from Skeeter was what he was hearing so he wasn't trolling. I was just on the side that was around DJ on a daily basis.

If skeeter was telling the truth that the coaches felt like DJ was going to be a Vol, was DJ lying to the coaches?

No matter where DJ ends up, or whether or not it was intentional, he has made his recruitment pretty exciting these past couple of weeks.

Come to UT DJ... Play for the 2012 SEC Championship team.
