'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

You're right its just hard when everyone continues to be a jerk. I started a thread about it but of course it was deleted.

the best thing you can do is quit posting in this thread and ignore the shots. when you make a prediction, stick by it but dont argue it, because everyone meets disagreement here, and you seemed to take it very personally.

DJ has been a Gator lean for months and decided to commit to the Gators a month ago. There was never a switch. Mo Collins is the difference, if it weren't for him DJ would be a Vol. That's the way it goes. He's a good kid from a very good family so just wish him the best except when he plays the Vols.

Do you think he legitimately couldn't go to FNL?

If mo offered a ride and he didn't go then griddle is full of crap. There was a switch or at least major thought. You don't miss FNL when you're a COMMIT like griddle claims.

The key, for both schools, is that he won't be signed until 2012. He'll presumably take officials and those matter.

If he makes anymore visits to knox we're still in it reguardless of what happens tonight.

Read somewhere in this monster thread that he's planning on EE....but who knows what to beleive in this pile of bammer mess.

Why would someone close to DJ tell Price his decision to broadcast all over twitter the night before the announcement? Seems iffy. I still think it's 50/50 ... No one knows but DJ.

I agree, this is the it always happens. Rumors fly and everybody seems to be insiders. The report said that after his visit to UT he shut everything down and has not talked to anyone. Skeeter said the staff when totally quite as far as recruiting stuff. I do believe both schools knows, but I don't believe that they will leak info and ruin DJ's moment.

Don't hold out any hope, if you do you are setting yourself up for failure. The tone of Hubbs in the warroom was pretty clear, this one is over. He is never wrong when he says we aren't getting someone.

Griddie is the only one that knew what he has been talking about the whole time. Even DJ himself has said Florida is the leader for months now. Tennessee has never lead for Humprhies.

Bottom line is we have been trolled hard.

i guess i am just a fool for wanting to wait until he actually commits but can you imagine, i mean can you even begin to imagine, if by some wild and crazy reason he's been playing the game and chooses ut? Defenseisdesire would literally have to go find another username to get away from the ruthless hate that would be spilled upon him. Expecting the worst but holding on to this small nuggest of hope. Maybe i can find new dots to connect before announcement time!

It's still early August. There's a lot of time between now and signing day. Think about how far out February 1st 2012 is. A season will have come and gone, Super Bowl XLVI will only be days away, Nascar will be gearing up for the Daytona 500..I mean, it's 6 months away.

My point is there will probably be a whole group of guys UT will be in on that we aren't even talking about now. I hate to lose Humphries but it won't define the class.

Failure? So now we will be failures. All this time I thought I would just be wrong.

Hubbs never wrong when saying we won't get someone? Simply not true

I shouldn't get worked up over losing recruits this early in the recruiting season, but losing both Santos and Humphries reminds me again of where our program is at. I seriously hate how this program has ended up.

Your profile pic is my favorite Vol of all time.

I think you need to begin getting worried when you are the early leader for kids like Santos and Humphries, not when you're trying to make up ground. If much of what has been said lately is true about the staff laying a good foundation for future recruits, that will be the true barometer of success in recruiting.

When rebuilding, you'd like to do it as quickly as possible, of course. But, the reality is it will be accomplished one brick at a time...as much as everyone would like the entire frigging building delivered at once, those are simply unreasonable expectations.
