'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

Not sure what relevance that two players under two offensive line coaches shows a recruit. Unless you are saying the school itself makes the offensive linemen? I think it would be best to say we got a pretty amazing offensive line coach that has had success in the NFL rather than bring up Clifton and Wells.

He asked. If we're talking about our ability to do it moving forward, Hiestand's track record speaks for itself.

Damn. August went from being what from what could have been one of the best months we've had in recruiting, to suddenly one of the worst. Sucks knowing we'll most likely miss out on 2 of the best recruits on our board.

Seconded. Would've been a huge get, both as a player and for recruiting momentum.

Still, OL is one of the two positions I'm least worried about on the recruiting trail. Hiestand and Baggett's records speak for themselves, and they'll keep drawing great OL and WRs to Tennessee. Just not DJ.

I'd like to know what te optimism today was about. OCI seemed to think things were good, so did springbok. Who the eff knows...damn connected dots

Guys it boils down to his comfort level with the Florida program. He really liked Tennessee but Florida had a lead that was hard to overcome. Terry Joseph did a really nice job and this recruitment isn't totally over but I was told late tonight that DJ is picking Florida tomorrow. Let the teeth grinding begin.

but, why?

they're going in the wrong direction.

UT has placed a ton of OLs in the NFL. Florida's you can count on one hand.

He has been a Gator for awhile. He has named them the leader from the get go.

A team's direction and history of putting players in the NFL might be attractive to some recruits, but not to all recruits.

I can't stand UF and am a huge UT fan, but I'm realistic enough to admit that UF has had much more success than UT the last decade (the decade these recruits grew up watching and playing football) and is/would be the more sexy pick to recruits.

It appears Humphries prefers UF over UT. Doesn't really matter what the reason is.

Thanks for the feedback. Hope everyone is classy to DJ. If you are truly shallow and can't be classy, do so out of the hope he will see what a great community UT has and reconsider his decision about the time we woop they flowduh ass.

I guess the whole "all but committed" thing should have told us where DJ would end up. As great as his last visit to Tennessee may have went, if we didn't land him then, we were never going to imo.
