In response to 99gator:

We are in position to win significantly in 2012. IF we can do that, emphasize the IF, recruiting will sky-rocket in Knoxville.

When UT is winning, the place is a recruiting juggernaut. It's hard to do that coming off of 18 wins in 3 years.

i can't give a good reason not to go play football and go to school at tennessee.

tennessee has everything a kid could want.

i see no reason why tennessee can't get back to the top.

It's good when you are trying to completely change the game with an SEC championship into 2012. This will be the last year Dooley goes after so many Jucos, I think.

That plays into my double post from a second ago. These JUCOs will come in and be major contributors in 2012, which could be a special season in Knoxville.

The things that hurt Tennessee in recruiting are:

1) Dooley's unproven record as a coach
2) The lack of exposure due to a lack of success

We recruit successfully nationally when the brand is recognized nationally. Right now, we aren't at that level. That's part of the reason why a lot of kids are blown away when they visit Knox. They are actually surprised by what is here.

I know I will get blasted for this, but I am now about 90% confident DJ announces for Florida on Friday. Came upon some information from someone I trust implicitly on this subject, and as stated, there is a reason Florida beat writers are going to the announcement.

Only reason I don't say 100% is because nothing is certain except death and taxes. I'll take the ridicule if I am wrong.

alot of these kids are blown away by the vfl program as well, the new athletic complex doesnt hurt either.

I think most people are inclined in this direction. Will be a tough loss if it happens, but we'll move on. A good season will help.

I think our coaches have done as good a job as they can with Humphries. Don't know if it'll be enough, though.

i know uf very recently started pushing hard for adam Bisnowaty, another olineman. was hoping that was good news for us.

Skeet. If we do happen to miss out on Humphries, which I definitely hope that we dont, how do you like our chances of landing Jordan Diamond?
