if the guy considers himself a professional, then he really shouldn`t be trying to recruit these kids to a specific school. i would feel the same way, if it were a former Vol.

We don't know all the details. It could just be a consistent, positive voice from someone he trusts. Could be an attempt to make someone he respects proud. Who knows...I don't, at least. Could be bullish and a bit underhanded....maybe not.

It's not an either/or here. They aren't just keeping DJ info quiet. News was leaking from the athletics department at an unacceptably high level for the coaches' satisfaction, so they reigned in all info. That'll probably give in time, but almost all info is being kept close right now. (at least wrt Skeeter).

If they are sharing with him, they are telling him to keep it quiet. But, if you believe what he says, they aren't controlling his information flow.

OCI put enough out there on Jelks for me to believe him. I personally don't see the point of calling out anyone that has or claims to have inside info until they give reason not to believe. Most guys in the know can't post what they've learned anyway on a board like this unless they want to lose that source.

For those sticking to 2 week old news, why all the FL press/rumblings if things were so solid for us? Assume he's gone and you'll have what you thought or a huge bonus.

I live about 20 min from DJ's school. Last night I almost went to Lowe's to buy the material for a life size model of the ROCK. I was going to paint it and everything. My great idea was trumped by the wife. I told her she needed to get on the VFL train with me. She would not!!!:(

HG provided several quotes from some of our commits who have talked to him, specifically Mike Davis.

The other stuff Hg got was coming from an insider board he is part of. he couldn't post the link because you have to be a member.

We learned that Byron was a UT lean and then everything went quiet. All kinds of rumors broke out, including that he had committed (silently) to the Miami staff. Many people began to throw in the towel that he would be a Cane. When he announced, he was ALL VOL!

Let's hope this story plays out again in this thread.
