'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

Yeah, no question we are reeling. I think alot of recruits, based on their comments, recognize they can come in and help Florida rebuild the program and stop the downward slide.

We have had several recruits mention how the staff is telling them to come in and help us rebuild and get out of this gutter. You just hope some listen and make the decision to be part of the class that helps rebuild Florida's program back to being respectable.

Winning 2 NC's in the last 5 years is sure as hell not reeling. So you have one down year, get over it. I can't believe a Uf fan would come on VN talking about how their program is in the "gutter."

I see what's coming? UT beating Florida? It wouldn't surprise me at all. We aren't very good...........but "beating Florida" isn't what it used to be and your fan base, well alot of them, realize that.

You said I see what's coming and then you say you aren't saying you will beat Florida.

Which is it?

Beating Florida is always special. Don't care how you spin it. Tennessee has been down for years and I don't remember any of you not enjoying it.

Which is it you ask?
I'd like our chances better if we were playing in Knoxville this year , but I'm still optimistic. It's the vibe you give off in your posts. Like many Vol fans , you can see a change coming in this series. All I am saying is give your new coach some time and don't expect the worst until you see the product on the field. I swear Waco , if you talked anymore about how poor you thought Florida was going to be before the season even get's started , I'd think I was actually talking to Stephen Orr Spurrier. :eek:lol:

the poor, poor pitiful me routine ain't going to work on this board. nor should it.

tennessee fans have suffered for a long time and it wasn't 8-5 suffering off of back to back BCS bowl seasons.

it's losing at home to wyoming suffering.

personally, i dont share your appraisal of the situation regarding florida.

Thank you --I think.

He is trying to set low expectations so when we beat them in the swamp it doesn't sting as bad. :)

How can you be rebuilding when your roster is loaded with 4 and 5 star talent?

I don't know.............new staff, new scheme........John Brantley is still our QB. No proven WR, no starters int he secondary with more then 5 career starts.......just to begin the discussion..........

You really think we are going to be any good this year?

You DO have a higher expectation then me. our best case this year is 8-4.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I see a "change coming in the series."

Without soundling like a jerk..........how many times have we heard that before?

Nole fans are saying the same thing about our series with them.

i'm pretty sure Saban would have gotten momentum regardless of who he beat.

You guys beat Zook 2 out of 3 years. I am not sure that was "struggling" with Zook. Sure 2004 was close, but 2003 wasn't.

Saban was a win over Tennessee from a 5-7 first season at Alabama. I know he's a great coach and would recover, but that's a different sales pitch.

And we definitely struggled against Zook. We had a 17 point home loss to an 8-5 Gator team and needed a late field goal to beat a 7-5 Gator team in a year where we won the East and beat pretty much everybody who wasn't Auburn. I'll give you that we took care of business in 2003, but the 2002 and 2004 results weren't what they should've been.

i hope Muschamp wears a hat vs ut. that haircut makes his head look deformed. and good luck with butt-belly as yalls oc. hopefully yall can feed him enough to keep him there.

you are the worst UF fan i've ever witnessed....even worse than the one's who chuck bags of urine onto opposing fans. just make sure when you slit your wrists later that you hit all the right veins.

Tennessee vs Florida is just that: Tennessee vs Florida. It's a rivalry game no matter circumstances. I can't even believe a Gator fan is coming here- A TENNESSEE BOARD WITH A FANBASE DESPERATELY SEEKING RESPECTABILITY AGAIN- and going with the poor, poor me routine. No Vol fan in the world is going to feel sorry for a "rebuilding" Florida team that has consistently beat our ass for years now and has been the victors of a couple BCS games over these past few years.

What are we supposed to say? He's in Charlotte in the AC. Hasn't made a peep in days. Some gator insider thinks he knows what will happen. A Vol insider --let's call him Skeeter-- says the opposite. We just waitin at this point. The current debate centers on who needs Humphries more...feel free to contribute
