everyone outside of Knoxville. The recruiting guys from Rivals and 247 who cover the Carolina's...The UF "insider" who posted the info about DJ also broke the Pagan info before anyone else....he only post info about NC recruits...rumored to be Mo Collins. Also, Matt Jones and DJ Dunker who speak with him on the regular have stated he's a Gator. Until Aug 5th NO one knows....Mods, UF, UT, Skeeter, Mo...only DJ knows. Only a few days to go. :peace2:

I have no question the coaches thought as Skeeter reported that the LB from Ky was going to sign with UT. The kid himself may have thought that before O's visit. In the end, he went to USC.

I am sure that DJ has said things that led to the positive outlook by UT coaches. I do not know that he is being completely truthful or may is as "solid" as he led them to believe. It is hard for a kid that age to not try to give people they like a "better version." Maybe he said it and then started feeling pressure from his trainer that pushed him back to the dark side.

The only thing I see we can take from all this is that he seems to be torn and that we will know when he decides to announce... which may not even be 8/5.

You can't blame anyone for a recruit that says one thing then changes at the last minute. Jernigan and Dawson both gave their pledge to the staff while on the visit. People give info that was told to them. I know this for a fact.

We are supposed to be optimistic when circumstances allow. There are circumstances that support us. This is a TN board and you have reiterated your stance umpteen times. Once or twice is okay, more than that and you are deep water trolling. Most of us realize that it's wide open right now with DJ.

The problem with Rivals guys (Farrell in particular) is they refuse to give this staff any credit. Last year Farrell had us as one of the 10 most disappointing classes at one time, despite being in the top 25 at the time and told me (in a Q&A session) he believed it was going to be hard for us to maintain a top 25 class. The staff then manages a top 12 class. He and his guys dubbed T. Smith a top 5 physical back then refuse to bump him despite they're own analysis. He says Khalid will be a mid to high 3* then rates him a 2*, not that it matters. I'll continue to take these coaches evaluations and gut feelings over his and laugh when he's proved wrong.

I love to follow the ratings They are the only thing as fans we really have to go by. However, they really mean squat.
