I'm more concerned with AFTER he commits. Holding on to him will be a challenge.

Maybe, but Dooley commits rarely change their commitments, and he seems like one that will be done once he makes up his mind. Taking his officials might be a cause for concern, but I'm confident we hang on to him once he pledges to the Big Orange.

lol who am i to judge how one will/should act, ive been burnt to many times to get all giddy. remember these are 17/18yo kids with a huge decision in front of them and they also have many many people pushing them one way or another. its alot of pressure on a kid.

Definitely a lot of pressure. I guess my question was more rhetorical. Just trying to find a happy medium between giddy and pessimistic lol.

Dooley is a very good closer. I hope the trend of him holding commits doesnt falter here.

in all fairness to mr luc, coach gran had him locked up as a vol, then coach gran so kindly locked him up as a nole.

True. Some people don't realize how important coach-recruit or coach-family relationships are in recruiting. We all want a player that is committed to the program, but coaching turnover really hurts recruiting sometimes.

I was talking to the Ole Miss TE Jamal Mosley a couple weeks ago. He originally went to OK St. because of his relationship with Trooper Taylor while he was there (2008). As we all know, Trooper jumped ship, and Mosley went to JuCo. He had offers from Miss. St., Memphis, Arkansas, and Ole Miss coming out of JuCo and ultimately signed with the Rebs because of being close to home (Memphis).

Just an example.
