'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

I know..but unless he has been here a lot more than that - everyone already knows it. He implied that if they didn't know it...but it's been widely reported so I am sure they do....unless it is a lot more than that.

Maybe that's what he was saying. I read that he has been here many times on his own dime. Could be more than what has been reported.

If we land Humphries our OL could be NFL good, especially at OT.

That's what you got to have when you're going up against teams that have big defensive lines. Now if only we can do the same thing on the defensive line like what we're doing on O-Line.

I do like the idea of having an offensive and defensive line that just smashes people. It's been a while since we had that kind of talent. When you know you can just run the ball and they can't stop it....it is sooo nice. They are forced to slide that saftey down in the box....and it's JH and DR over the top like a nightmare becoming reality.

I think it's funny that whenever Skeeter makes an appearance, we all start acting like TMZ reporters chasing a celebrity down the street asking questions. I guess what makes it funnier is not one of us would know it was him if we were sitting across a table from him eating lunch.

I may be alone on this...but I get the feeling that Mack Crowder will see the field sooner than most think. He is a true center and is VERY strong. He may not be one of the most talented OL guys we have...but he very well could be the best Center we have.

Interesting comment. I'm not sure the size or strength is there yet. HOWEVER, watching the Spring Scrimmages when the QB's were behind Mack they were able to find their groove faster. The consistent delivery of the snap in both speed and accuracy from Mack seemed to allow the QB's to focus more on their task and less on the snap. What's ideal? A Mack Crowder skill, speed, accuracy, and snap delivery but in a Stone-sized or Bullard-sized body. Mack's got the smarts. Like you, I'm not sure what will happen at Center but Mack is a "True Center." It's a bigger issue than most realize. I do believe this was the biggest unnoticed or untold story behind why Bray couldn't find his groove in the Spring. What's the answer? If anybody can find it, I believe Coach Hiestand will.

There should be a thread started named "Questions for Skeeter". I believe there was a thread started for another poster that was heavily involved in recruiting before.

He came in at 6'4 270 from high school IF his measurables were accurate. He was also an EE and has had a decent amount of time to improve power wise. I just love watching his youtube stuff as the kid seems to love just burying people. I see alot of Scott Wells in Crowder. Center is a position where you need a big chip on your shoulder and I see Mack as being the local kid who will really give his all for Tennessee. I also like the idea of Stone getting to move back to his original position.
