Had to check VN one last time tonight, very very glad I did. This staff has a good habit of being able to keep things quiet until the last minute.

If he doesn't attend FNL and then commits to UF instead of us then I see a meltdown of epic proportions coming.

Gotta love the Skeeter. I think the last time I posted on VN was just before signing day in Feb. Hope we get DJ.

I don't think it would be a meltdown. Within the last few days I think most on here figured Jelks would be the only OL guy taken. Maybe another one if a good one popped up in the next few months during the HS season. I think most did not think DJ would be a VOL.

He would be a huge get and one you take no matter what. I know most think Jelks is a silent...but if DJ commits...does Jelks rethink Vandy or someone else?

SIAP, but I found a post here from Skeeter in the Drae Bowles thread from 3/29/11. Thought it was very interesting and relevant (especially considering how long ago it was):

The Skeeter does provide great info. Not sure what he does, but he appears only when the news is good.

I'm not saying he's a lock to TN by any stretch. I'm just saying they are in good shape if he doesn't go to Gainesville next weekend. Lots of credit goes to Terry Joseph and Harry Hiestand on where the Vols stand. DJ told me on the phone this week that he wants the process to be over so he can focus on football and school.

I agree had these rumors not started flying. Now by the time he announces in 2 weeks people on here will be make him the starting LT next year and changing Tiny to DL (since that's what VN loves to do).

The biggest thing to watch right now is where is Humphries next Friday. If he visits Gainesville that's bad news for the Vols in my opinion. If he doesn't make that trip then it's getting really interesting.
