He needs to just commit and end this publicly. Our coaches know he wants to be in Gainesville. I just wish he would pull the trigger cause we are in dire straits on both sides of the line.

If Florida is in dire straits on BOTH sides of the line, then what happened to all those top recruiting classes you have had over the last 20 years? I know the last 17 have graduated ( had to state the obvious) but you get the point.

You have a profound misunderstanding of the phrase "dire straits." Of players listed on Florida's roster right now, you can fill a 2-deep on the DL of Rivals 4 and 5 stars, and you have 8 OL who are Rivals 4 and 5 stars. Dire straits, my @$$.

Tennessee has 3 guys on our entire roster who were Rivals 6.0 or 6.1 (Da'Rick, Janzen, and Walls). Florida has 9 on your roster just at the OL, DT, and DE positions.

Florida also has a recent history of underachievers, though I think dire straights still is a tad bit short of reality. Sadly, it doesn't always matter to a prospect as we all know.

I think Florida did fine. They will not be at the Urban Meyer (w Strong, Mullen) level IMO, but they could have done much worse. Muschamp is a fine coach and their OC, I forget his name, I hear he was pretty good for awhile too.

Powell and Martin are not on the DL anymore. They are at LB.

Leon Orr is probably moving back to OL to help on a weak line.

Matt Patchan and James Wilson have both had surgery and nobody knows how they are going to respond back from surgery, if Patchan even plays at all.

Say what you want. We have depth issues on BOTH sides of the ball, same as you guys.

Exactly. that's why I laugh at rival fans who the only thing they look at is star ratings, etc like sammyjoey did above.

How did those 4 and 5 star recruits work out for us last year?

Our worst team in 20 years. Our worst offense in 25 years. Your 3 star QB QB threw for more TD's in 4 games then our 5 star did in 13.

Star rankings and Rival rankings don't automatically project into top 5 teams.

Having no depth in the SEC is indeed, dire straits. You guys know that.

Glad we have gotten him on campus so much to give us a shot at least.

We feel pretty good about him. i think he knows he has a real shot at playing and eventually starting as a true freshmen for us.
