'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

Seems to be a lot of conflicting reports on him every week. Last time it was the Shrine Bowl combine or the S. Car. spring game. Two places at one time for this guy every week.

Have we ever had that many for a Spring game?

I think if we advertised it a little more, more people would come. Winning helps, too.

People in Bama are pretty limited by what to do really....

1. Get drunk and watch football.
2. Get drunk and watch NASCAR.

Not exactly a wide selection there. :)

Apparently Saban works, here's another 5* blue chipper that we'll miss out on... great.

You'll be happy either way...if we don't get Humphries we'll have that scholarship available for the Cody Robinson's of the world.

Article on Scout where he names Florida as the leader. He also though said he is not committed and is still open.

"I'm 100 percent going back to visit Auburn," Humphries said.

"There's nothing in Alabama but Auburn and Alabama as far as sports go," Humphries said. "It's straight football country. That's one of the main things I love about it."

"I like Auburn a lot," Humphries said. "I really like the coaching staff. They're pretty much all players' coaches. I don't want to be around a coach that I feel like I can't go to if I have a problem. They're all players' coaches, and I love that."

Although Humphries doesn't have an order of schools that he is considering, he does have a favorite.

"Florida is probably a set number one for right now," Humphries said. "And then I love Auburn and Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee. Clemson, I like them a lot. Those are probably the ones sticking out to me the most right now."

Don't want to be a negavol, but man it sounds like we just keep sliding backwards
dont think that was in order or anything. Just naming the teams that were behind UF. It was done by AU's rivals site, and since they are the biggest homers on the internet, they will of course make it look like Auburn is second. Doubt we get Humphries though. Kid loves UF.

He list Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina as his top four and he plans to return to Knoxville this summer and in the fall for a game. He also has plans to return to Alabama for the fall.

I like how he realizes how unappealing That State Down South is. But yes, we have a lot of ground to make up if we want to get this kid.

Forgive me, VolOnthePlains. I read too fast and misinterpreted what he said. I thought he was talking about the State in general.

"I'm still high on Florida," said Humphries. "For me, the main thing as far as picking out a school is which school feels the most home for me, and right now Florida has that feel to it. My parents made the trip with me to Florida and they really liked Florida too."

"I've spoke with Tennessee today. I've also been in contact with Southern Cal, Notre Dame, NC State, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Michigan."

Besides Florida there are also a handful of teams that Humphries still likes.

"I like Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, Clemson, and Tennessee. Those are some of the school that I still have interest in."
