'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

What's the depth chart look like for Florida as far as o line goes? Is this kid wanting early playing time or just looking for the right program?

it's thin this spring and were looking to take 4 more OL after Dunker. Humphries is the number #1 on the board(depending on who you ask)...UF will stay on Theus but some think DJ is the better of the two.

Anybody who visits 5 times already, on his own dime, we have an excellent shot at. At this point, gotta be confident in our chances.

How can we not be in the lead when he's visited 5 times and not one of them have been an official?

I wouldn't base it off visits...UT is closer than UF but he's visited 4 times. I believe UT, LSU and UF will be there until the end but UNC is still a player in this.

Scout still has UF, UGA, USC, and LSU high interest and UT not listed. They need to step it up.

Really enjoyed his UT visit. He is very impressed by UT's coaching staff especially Dooley, Joseph, and Hiestand. States that UT is a close second to UF in his recruitment. Will be visiting Auburn this weekend, but is hoping to visit UT again very soon. He will be making a decision sometime during his senior season because he will be an EE.

"Man I had a blast," Humphries said. "I had a great time. After practice they showed me the new renovations. What they are getting to put in is ridiculous. I got to hang out with Alex Bullard and that went really well. I've been up there five times now and it's like every time I go up there I see something different. I got to check out their business center and it's impressive."
"Tennessee is in second," Humphries said. "Them and Florida are running a tight race right now.

Especially after the double digit thumping the Vols put on the gators this September. That should seal the deal :)

Soot, I would be happy with a DubYa not matter what the score is but to put up a double ditgit win would be awesome.

Humphries also mentioned that Imani Cross is recruiting him to Tennessee and he got to meet Drae Bowles and they seemed to hit it off. Sounds like we've got good momentum right now.

Yea, i'd imagine he goes to the UT/UF game since we are his top 2 and he takes so many visits to both.

Bowles could very well be our next commit, so that would help if they have built a friendship.

Thanks for the update! It is going to be interesting following him since he is an EE and the #1 O-lineman. They may not get much of the credit, but I do not care how good your RB, QB, or WR is, if they do not perform the QB has no time to throw, RB no where to run, and WR not enough time to get open.

Also another interesting note.

Dooley spoke a few weeks ago in Nashville and said that UT had 15 players visit campus 3 or more times. And out of those 15 players that visited 3 or more times, UT signed 14 of them.

Seems like the more a recruit visits UT's campus, the more likely Coach Dooley seals the deal. I'll take my chances with 93%. Very encouraging that Humphries has already visited 5 times and expects to take another visit to UT.
