'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

I don't see Janzen going to the NFL. He hasn't practiced this spring nor has he presented any indication he would try to move on. IMO, he doesn't come back and goes for the NFL next year, or he comes back. I just think it's way too late for him to even be considered for a good draft slot.

I can see a guy like Arthur Jeffrey giving up football, maybe Naz Oliver, Eric Gordon may end up transferring, and there will be others. Just wait for the season to unfold.

I think everyone is referring to J. Jackson and the 2012 draft..... If he's smart, he does the things he needs to do to be back by fall. After the fall tho... I wouldn't expect him back again.

So your numbers assume at least 7 players will be lost to attrition with 9-12 being a possibility...that seems a little high considering we only lost 16 total during the 14 months of Hurricane Kiffin

What LV said, 7+ won't be that hard of a number to hit.

The standout lineman, who still plans to announce a decision at the U.S. Army All-American Game, still has a top three of Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee in order. He may trip to Tuscaloosa next week to see Alabama. For now, the Gamecocks are locked into the number two spot.

"That's the order right there," he said of his top three. "South Carolina, they're probably at number two. I like it a lot. I like how the players are like a family there. That's one of the biggest things I like about it."

"I had a blast," the five-star talent told GamecockCentral.com. "I got to hang out with all the coaches, like the Ole Ball Coach (Steve Spurrier). He was just pointing out the upside of the team and talked about who they were bringing in this year."

"I feel like it's a good situation where I can could go in and play," he said. "I watched (Marcus) Lattimore most of the time. He's a beast and has gotten even better from when I saw him last year."

Lattimore will likely be the best back in the nation this year. He was practically unstoppable last year and all I keep hearing is how much better he's gotten. Scary.

He will be the sole reason the gamecocks do anything this season. If he gets hurt, they are screwed.

I can see him getting better. I think him improving his footwork will be his biggest thing. Also he probably will be a bit quicker. Kinda scary seeing how much better he can get.

Kinda scary knowing that no one in the SEC has a front seven that can stop him.

I can definatley wait to see what he is going to do to our front seven. I just hope Garcia is still in the back field to do his thing.

All the great running backs run right at you, downhill with speed and that's exactly what Lattimore does. He was just out of high school so it was inevitable he was going to get better. Like someone else said, he could work on his footwork a little and be the best in the nation.

i'd bet on Janzen being one of them no matter what. Either he goes to the NFL or he doesn't stay in school.

outside of that, it would be the guys everyone else would name. the guys who are not all that committed, get in trouble, or are way down the depth chart.

i'd say we will lose a few guys at the end of this semester.

speaking of Janzen, I saw him on campus at lunch time so I hope that's good news.

I'm not as high on Lattimore. I wouldn't even label him as the best RB in the SEC next year.
