UF commit Mike Davis says DJ is a Florida lean.

Davis claims Humphries leaning Florida: Despite recent rumors that five-star offensive tackle D.J. Humphries is committing to Tennessee on Friday, UF oral commit Mike Davis said Monday he has spoken to the Rivals.com’s No. 1 offensive tackle and believes Humphries is leaning toward Florida.

“I’ve been talking to him,” Davis said. “He’s definitely thinking Florida.”

Exactly...I said all of this would happen immediatley after Skeeter reported what he found out.

I don't know why anyone thinks anything has changed...he hasn't been talking to anyone...it is all speculation.

I still add the clues up and come up with the same output.

Well, I guess that settles it. An "ORAL" commit spoke with DJ and he thinks that DJ thinks he is a UF "LEAN"! That sounds like a very credible convo to take to the bank.

When have you ever heard of a commit from school A asked by a reporter from that school about a uncommited player that school A is looking at and the player has said..."oh yea he is feeling school B, He isn't coming to School A."

I had to leave for awhile and I meant to say congrats for your daughter earning a scholarship at UT. I wish you played for Tn, but earning a D1 scholarship is special.

If you are really getting inside information from a member of the coaching staff why are you going on a message board and posting it? Any chance DJ silently committed to Tennessee but when he found out that everything he told our coaches was plastered on a message board he got pissed and decided he couldn't trust the coaching staff.

Yeah, I was hoping that Skeeter was putting out info the coaches wanted leaked. If that is not the case, I'd rather the info that is supposed to stay in house stay in house.

Thanks for the kind words. My daughter had a wonderful experience at UT...won the Ed South Scholar Athlete award her sophomore year.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a bigger UT fan and she is very, very proud to be a Vol.

If that is the case, what do you think about the news coming out of UF...wouldn't their "leaks" raise these same doubts as well?

I don't buy all this silent commit stuff either. If you were set on coming somewhere, why wouldn't you want other top recruits to consider that when they are making their decision? I think when a kid is a silent, this is a nice way of telling the coach or a school what they want to hear so they get off his butt for a while.

nah i let out what i think i can get away with, not nearly as much info as i could. ill admit, i pushed the envelope on peterman and blanc. family and coaches are all that knew when i gave out the info, within minutes of the phone calls i posted about it. stupid on my part. a couple of media members that covers ut athletic were taking info they received from coaches and ad employees for granted. so i leaked the info on those two way before these media guys were aware.
sometimes media gets the info from a recruit before anyone else does, but usually thats not the case. usually the coaches know first, then some staff members, the media guys catch wind of it and contact the recruit.
hopefully things will be back to normal soon.
