'12 MS LB Richie Brown

Why would they act repulsed? Ole Miss is horrible academically. It was rated last out of the now 14 SEC schools in the latest US News and World Report rankings. It isn't even ranked nationally.

You have to remember, OM's permanent rival from the east is Vanderbilt. They say that's because those are the two historical academic powerhouses in rh conference. No joke. The call me hillbilly and crap like that....even though Knoxville is a million times closer to civilization than Mississippi.

I've also seen students in shirts proclaiming Ole Miss the "Harvard of the South." Hilarious!

Dont see us getting Brown. Brown's a good player, but we have some nice LB's committed in this class already to go along with Lathers, Maggitt, and Johnson. Dont forget about Chris Harris either, he'll be pushing for PT this year.

Would love to have him, but fully understand if he stays in state. This one is not a drama queen. He just needs to understand that he will not win a division or SEC championship on a MS based team during his time there.

im just saying, when did we turn into Alabama.

Vols fans arent in touch with reality.

its not 1996

on the field we are no better than Miss State

I hope we get back soon but its not like kids are turning down title runs at Tennessee to go to other SeC schools

I hope he does come here, but from reading the last page, it sounds like he's leaning more towards the instate schools.

We have a much much much better chance at winning a division or conf championship than ole miss and ms state.

One thing is our history and tradition.
Two is we are in the east which is down lately. The west has bama arky and lsu.

No way one of the ms schools makes it to Atlanta anytime soon We at least have a shot.

And by history and tradition that means we will attract and sign more talent yr in and yr out which should theoretically give us a better chance at winning.

Not saying ms state doesn't have some talent at least on defense.

But we have a better shot at atl than they do

Miss St is coming off a 9 win season and a 7 win season with 2 bowl victories...

yall can laugh that off if you want

lack of tradition and history isnt stopping Oregon and Oklahoma State from prospering

most here are too stuck on the past

these 17 year old kids dont give a F' about what happened 20 years ago

History and tradition DO count for something. Historically top teams go through ebbs and flows. Happens to every single top team. And they always come back. As will we. As will we. Ms state is still ms state.

Lately, we've done jack squat. The truth hurts but it's time to change some things. This program will have the depth needed to really start competing again after this year. Not to mention, I really think that the 2013 class could be a monster.

And not trying to bash the kid if he wants to play instate. Very understandable. And respectable Just saying if it's based on winning then it should be us. Because we will be back up at some point and state will be back down.

Oh I know we haven't done much lately. Trust me. My two best buds are big bama fans. I have suffered a lot. My point is we WILL be back. And if we keep signing talent hopefully it will be soon
