I am not sold on Thompson coaching the line. They have looked horrible this year, even Malik

Malik has played well, it's Jac Smith I'm disappointed in. He was supposed to be a big time pass rusher. I haven't seen any of that this year. He makes one play a game and that's not enough.

Its not the coaching, its the talent.

you think Melvin Ingram and J. Clowney are being coached up that much more than our DL.

of course not. those guys are immensely talented and are producing. we do not have the talent to get after QBs with just 4. and to make things worse, we are so horrible on the back end that we cant afford to blitz and leave CBs manned up.

we are in a pickel.

Im not completely sold on Justin Wilcox BUT, He doesnt have much to work with so he gets a pass from me.

good God thank you.

We still don't have the talent or depth right now..it blows my mind how people can't understand that and they want the coaches gone.

Well said Jay. We aren't very good on the line, but our DBs are equally as poor. I made the statement to that Fiji clown in the FB thread, we can't afford to run blitz pckgs all game leaving our DBs exposed. They'll get beat all day, even against the UKs and Vandy's of the world.

Great post Jay!

I still go to this thread first, when I see it up, just to make sure his interest in Michigan isn't on the rise, and to see whether he'a all Vol or not. jk

This kid's gonna be a good one.

He was definitely at the game. I sat right above the recruit section. He was sitting in the front row closest to the goal post in his backwards UT camo hat.

Hollered at him before the vol walk , he's a big boy has great size with room to grow, definately what we been missin at dt

"They are getting closer," O'Brien said. "If we hadn't had so many big plays on us then we would have been right there. We don't have depth and you can see that, but we are closer than people think. It was close for the first half."

Sitting in the front row with a camouflage Tennessee hat on, O'Brien was anything but blending in. He was blown away by the amount of people that recognized him.

"There was a lot of people yelling and screaming at me," O'Brien said. "This one guy wanted to take a picture with me and that was really cool. I signed a couple of autographs. It's something I've always dreamed of and it's a great experience. You have to keep a level head and try to stay humble with it."

Pic of O'brien at the game yesterday, he told Scout that Neyland yesterday during a few parts of the game was louder than the ND vs. Michigan game he went to a few weeks ago. He also said he sat w/ Korren Kirven during the game & that he is trying to get him to come to Tennessee.

Thank God somebody else sees it. This team doesn't have a lot of talent. Jac Smith hasn't done what we thought he would do. He's not getting to the QB at all. Malik Jackson is playing well but when we're starting Daniel Hood at DT that should tell you something. People think our guys are good but I don't even know if Jac Smith would be in the two deep on LSU's team.
