ON NOES IT ARE NOT DEER IN TN!!!!!

He's going to be worth watching. Gives me a couple players now that I can pay attention to. How many players from the State of MI do yall have here?? Arnett, O'Brien next year, anyone off the top of your head??

but he's going to have to stay up north to get any big deer. Did someone actually try to tell him there was good hunting here in TN? Compared to the Deer in MI, the ones here in TN are german shepards.

You need to start hunting outside the city limits. Big deer in the country and Elk at LBL.

I might have had a bad day. I didnt see anything the size of the deer in Michigan. Given the difference between that area, and middle TN, I can see where there would be a much better herd than what I see here.

Back when I lived in MI (40 years of my life there), the deer that I had in my pasture on a daily basis were monsters compared to what I see in my pasture here. I get a pretty good selection wandering through my pasture every morning/evening. Puppies compared to back home.

And, as I was saying, I may have just had a bad day at LBL. I will take your word for it since I have only been there once.

Michigan is well known for it's big bucks, at least for those of us that follow that sort of thing greatly. There are some very expensive ranches up there that produce World Record bucks. I'm just glad we got the buck we were looking for......:)

Funny how all of the whiners who thought that Santos wanted to decommit are now finding out that Santos is recruiting other defensive talent to UT.

EGGZACKLEE. If you follow this shat long enough, it shouldn't be too hard to read between the lines on MOST of these kids.

Edit: I think you named all the Michigan men that the Big Orange has on it's roster. Well, the ones that contribute anyhow.
There were several Albino deer where I used to live. I don't hunt or one's head would be hanging on my wall right now.

No. Shocking, isn't it?

No surprise...

We should all collectively search through this forum and come up with a compilation of Pace's drivel...then we should start a thread calling him out with all of his brilliance quoted...

Posters like him should not get away with the amount of drivel he has spewed over the last 5-6 months

With that said, TN has several areas within the state that are known for good quality bucks. LBL is definitely one of them along with other counties along Ky Lake/TN River. Hickman County, Perry County, Hardeman County, Oak Ridge area (must check for radiation first), etc. are some areas that have produced some big bucks.

GBO!!!!!!

I had to give you a thumbsup for that one!

The kid has been to 4 games??? Is that what he said, and still coming down for more? It is not a bad ride from MI. I drove Lansing to Cookeville every week for 9 mo. Im sure his family will see him play every week.

This is a good spot for him (of course I thought MSU was a better spot, but I will survive it) I think he will do well here.

I dont hunt either. The time I went to LBL was with a camera. My buddy was hunting, I was taking video for him. I dont have access to the video or I would post some stills.

Back home I had some huge deer in the hayfield every night. We put up a camera and used to get snapshots of them. It was pretty cool. Albinos would be awesome. Very cool.

Edit: at my house here "in the Middle" we have very courteous deer. They dont even take my fence down anymore. They just duck under it, and go about their business. They can usually be found grazing with our horses, and just hanging around with them.

OCI, do you have any info on any other silent commitments? You don't have to name names, I'm just wondering if there are any/how many there are.

Googled record whitetail.

Tennessee... Yr 2000 record score of 244.

Michigan... Yr 1976 record score of 238.
Has stood for 35 yrs.

Don't know how much weight plays in score.

I think Road House and Slaughter House will be fine with what we have.

(*completely off topic*)

Biggest deer I've ever taken was about 10 miles outside of Lewiston, Michigan. Friend of my grandpa has a big piece of land out there. 13-point non-typical (had a 5" drop tine coming down off the right side), field dressed out at 205 pounds. Took him at 125 yards with a .303, he dropped, got back up and ran towards the fenceline, but piled up against the barbed wire. Had a mount made of him, but lost it when my grandparents' house burnt down 3 years ago.
