You never know...

After that chat the other night, he sounded like he wasn't nearing a decision. He wanted to wait until late in his senior season to decide. I doubt he goes out of his way to announce a Top 6 to turn around and commit 2 days later.

I agree. I continue to believe O'brien has been a silent commit to Tennessee for a good while and is still a Vol. However I also believe that Michigan has made up some ground with him and there is always a chance that they could turn him before or even after he formally commits -- that is just the nature of recruiting 17-18 yr old kids.

That said, Michigan (like Alabama and a number of other schools) is quickly filling up its class and has even fewer slots open than we do. I look for Michigan to sign Pipkins and we will get O'brien and at least one more highly rated DT in this class.

Last year, about this time a year, I was on my way to Navarre Beach, Florida when we went through Pace, Florida. Dont ask me why I left I10, but we were traveling through Pace when I noticed a guy wearing a UT shirt and hat that was out in a small pasture. Being from Tennessee and seeing this quite often, its not what had drawn ny attention to this fellow decked out in UT clothing. It was the fact that he appeared, from a distance, to be milking a cow. I found this to be kinda weird, as you most often milk a cow in the barn. As I got closer, I realized that it wasnt a cow, but a bull. I had chalked it up to never knowing who this guy was or if I would ever know why he was "milking" this bull.

Now I know. Volnation again comes through when you least expect it
