'12 LA S Landon Collins

Many UA fans would agree. But going to be really hard pulling Collins out of LA but I like where UA stands right now with him.

Try impossible. LSU will not lose out on Collins. Our insiders have recently spoken with those closest to him and they all feel that there is a very slim chance Collins leaves the state. Even while he was wearing a Bama hat he was talking up LSU to his potential future teammate Lamar Louis the the Nike Opening.

If you go to ESPN's recruiting page and look at the day 5 notes section from The Opening, you can see Collins sporting the LSU hat he supposedly left at home...

That's Louis , but if you look at this pic you will see someone is missing. It's Collin's team gathered around the trophy they just one, and you see there are not one but two Purple hats(one might be another team), but Collins is not in the pic unless that is him behind Chad Kelly sporting a purple LSU hat.

All in fun, man.

If that makes you feel better believe it. I have heard this before and when a player does leave LA all the LSU fans say it is because they were not recruiting him or did not want him. Just like B Sylve last year.

He also was talking up UA to current(not potential) commit K Drake.

BTW are your same insiders the ones like Auburn who declared over 200 locks for their class last year.:)

Sounds alot like Vol fans when a recruit picks someone other than the Orange.

ESPN quote in reference to his rise in the ESPNU150.

Geismar (La.) Dutchtown safety Landon Collins continues to rise and now sits at No. 20 overall, up from No. 51.

Is he confirmed for camp or not? Saw one blurb about him saying he wanted to camp here in July but no confirmation.

TIA.

He's working out at LSU camp today. CLM has dedicated his entire morning to LC's Dad off to the side.

He arrived yesterday with his father and younger cousin. Landon was wearing a "Louisiana vs the World" shirt that he and Lamar Louis wore to The Opening competitions, but his cousin was wearing a "Louisiana vs the World" shirt, Bama shorts, and an LSU hat.

omg, i wonder if his underwear was UT orange?

He is just doing what all highly ranked LA kids do when they want to leave the state. They have to act like LSU is in it for as long as possible to avoid the backlash (see Reed, Trovon)

also see Jackson, Janzen...:hi:

Actually that was Jackson's dad and Lamo's doing. Jackson's dad was looking for a job.

That might make sense except for the fact that dad and son did not want to go to same school. I think the staff might have considered Guidry except for the fact it would have cost them Janzen.

Likely to take an OV to Tennessee this season. He stated what we all knew however, that LSU and Alabama are way out in front.

Florida and Texas the other two that are standing out.
