Volfan76:

I see you posted on Thielemann. We are very proud of him as with him at Nose Tackle we are 30-0 with two straight state titles. FYI - he lines up directly in front of Lamar Dawson, who as you know UT is very interested (and no, I see him every week but have no inside info - sorry :-( )

Is Tennessee interested in him? Last time I spoke with him he was receiving heavy interest from Mizzou (He is planning to camp there this summer), and Kentucky.

I think wherever he ends up someone is going to be very happy. I will be interested to see where he ranks at the Nat. Underclassmen Cb. in May. I hope if Dooley & Co. are interested they start making some contact.

Met this kid & his father yesterday, it was their first ever time in Knoxville. Hopefully they had a good time & come back for a game this season.

“I’m getting a lot of stuff from Missouri, Tennessee, Western Kentucky and Kentucky,” said Thielemann.

“I’d love to attend the University of Tennessee or Western Kentucky. I like Kentucky a lot too. I love Tennessee’s program as far as football. Tennessee and Western Kentucky are my favorite programs. But Kentucky is up there too,” he finished.

I saw where he made the U-100 invite list for the midwest region in July. Shuttle time of 4.8 seconds for a guy that's 275 and bench 21 reps @ 185. Not bad. That puts him faster than Dakota Ball (Alabama Commit), a 3-star with a 4.9 shuttle and Paul Boynette (Florida Commit), a 4-star with a 5.1 shuttle.

Quick update - late last night Keith received word that after his performance at the NUC Ultimate 100 camp in Indianapolis he has been invited to the NUC top prospect camp held at University of Oklahoma 7/23-24. He still holds UT at the top of his list, and will commit on the spot if offered.

Diamond in the rough type player. From what I have been told, he is every bit as athletic as the top DT prospects, however, he hasn't played football long.
If this info is correct, he could be a late season take after some more evaluation into his senior year.

With his obvious interest in Tennessee, I hope the staff keeps and eye on how he does this year. With him having no offers..especially Kentucky....he really needs to have a strong year.

If he shows out at the next camp he will see his interest pick up. I would rather see them reach on a kid like this at a dire need position than Blanc but thats jmo.

Agreed, if Blanc commits I would say welcome aboard as with any kid who wants to be a VOL. If ANY DT commits I might just go into cardiac arrest.

What if we got a DT class of O'Brien, McCullers, Jacobs, Day, and one of Kirven, Theilamann, etc.

We won't. I doubt I will need to invest in life alert until August or so. I honestly look for both Day and O'Brien to go to Michigan. I think McCullers is Bama bound if they want him, and we will have guys like Theilamann to evalute come October and decide if we will take them as a project DT or just take 6 more RBs.
