'12 JUCO WR Cordarrelle Patterson (UT signee)

Teams put stock in 5 star freshmans straight out of high school all the time so I think having faith in a guy who has torn opposing college teams to shreds is kinda realistic.

You all are putting WAY too much stock in a JUCO WR who hasn't played a snap in the SEC.

I'll be happy with him being the #3 the whole season.

Only thing is CP has played against SEC talented DB's. Both in JUCO and high school. He's played against Stephon Gilmore and Devonte Holloman in high school.

No he's played against more. Those are just the two best he's played against. How many guys can say they've gotten the best of an All-American SEC DB and rope ten pick? Are you just looking for reasons to make everyone else temper their excitement?

To say he's going to be better than Hunter and Rogers is putting way too much hype on him.

But damn, Im just glad to have an offense to be excited about. Ever since the Oregon game a couple years (and excluding the UC game last year), I just havent felt excited about offense for UT.

For the record. FWIW. If it means anything. I was blindly excited about O'neal. But my excitement of CP is just coming from multiple coaches and recruiting services raving his talent. I've not read one negative or even a hint of a projection that CP may not be worthy of the hype. I challenge anyone to find anything that resembles it. Same cant be said for Kenny O'neal.

CP may not have the stats that Rogers and Hunter will have but he will be a dangerous 3rd option. I'm thinking like a Riley Cooper frm 2008. Harvin and Murphy were the two best receivers but Cooper was not to be forgotten.

In the long run, imo is hes better than Rodgers or Hunter(Mainly due to Hunters inj). Hunter is comming off major surgurery so we dont know what he will do. Da'Rick is a loose cannon, mite go off the first few games then do somthing stupid and get the boot( I hope im wrong). John Chavis said that He thinks Patterson will be an instant star, and was devestated when he choose UT( Sad for LSU, but was happy for us). Patterson is the real deal.

Patterson isn't Kenny O'Neal.

Too many coaches have been quoted as saying Patterson will be a beast for me to not believe them. His film is very good. Even if it's just on KR, Patterson is going to be really good and make a name for himself.

I believe he'll be pretty good this year. But not an All-American.

I think CP value will be in freeing up 21 on a safety and Rivera on a lb.
Its going to be more crucial 11 is a influence on the offense.

It's hit or miss with JuCo recruits but I thik CP is the real deal! JH is our best receiver but his future is up in the air because of the knee, DR will be getting doubles which will free up JH and CP to make plays. If Bray stays healthy our offense will be unstoppable. Also don't sleep on D. Bowles, A. "Pig" Howard, and J. Croom.

This all day. It's really annoying seeing the same posters fluff a recruit all year, then after one season, they're a bust for not meeting their outrageous expectations. I feel the same could happen with McCullers if he doesn't rack up 10+ sacks...

The best thing CP has going for him is that he DOESN'T have to be the number 1 wide receiver. In fact he's going to have to put together some very impressive performances to get the kind of defensive attention a #1 WR is used to.

If Johnson, Lathers, and Maggitt have a good yr, that probably means McCullers (and Couch) did as well
