If FLAVOL53 (spelling?) is right in calling him to Auburn about two months ago... no one should ever question that cat again. Even Patterson didn't have a clue back then.

No, he said more than that. People asked him if he was firm on saying Shannon to Vols as DC, and he confirmed that it was a done deal. I can't remember which thread it's in... you can find it though.

edit: here ya go

Announcing Monday allows us to get PR before, during, and after the BCS Championship game, and also builds momentum going into the biggest recruiting weekend for this class. Santos, Peters, O'Brien, McNeill, etc. will all be in next weekend (1/13). We lock them down, add a few surprises to this class, and UT wraps up another excellent class.

You're talking about OCI? I was talking about what FlVol53 said on TOS.

They are referring to a poster on volquest, not OCI

Patterson is another player that has played things very close to the vest. Early in the process, it appeared that Tennessee and Georgia had the best chance to land the JUCO star, but then Arkansas and Baylor entered the mix. Auburn is also trying to make a push, and head coaches have been using their in home visits this week. Patterson is committed to taking two more official visits before he decides, and one of those visits may or may not go to Baylor. Georgia appears to be in the driver's seat for Patterson with Arkansas and Baylor, if they get an official visit, being their main competition. Tennessee has slowly faded out of the running at this point.

Justin Worley really dropped the ball on this one...

How did Justin drop the ball? Is he his lead recruiter or something? Before you answer I know they went to the same high school and know each other...

(Freeze) is a good man. He was talking to me about how I could come in and help the offense," Patterson said. "I met Barry (Brunetti) and the junior college guy (Bo Wallace) coming in. They talked to me about how I could fit in."

Patterson, who has already visited Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia, has one official visit left. He said Sunday, however, he's not sure when, where or if he'll take it.

"I just want to go somewhere where I know I'm going to play and give me a chance to go to the league," Patterson said. "If I get that, I'm going to take it."

Patterson, ranked by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 4 junior college prospect, said Sunday there is "no leader" for his signature.

"It's going to be a hard decision," Patterson said. "Every time I go on a visit, that school seems to move to the top. It's going to be hard."

Patterson said he is taking Ole Miss very seriously following his visit.
