imo patterson was never coming here. if he were to pick UT, i cannot think of 1 person that would be more shocked than me.

If I were Patterson I would go to Baylor as a WR. That offense is made for him. They run two three routes at the most. Hell I would go anywhere in the Big 12 they don't play defense. If he's trying to go pro that's the route to go. If not come to Tennessee hahahahahahaha.

I'm not trying to argue with you but I know a few months ago he was certainly telling a lot of people he was going to UT. I think the grades thing really changed his recruitment for everyone, but that's just conjecture on my part.

Skeeter was on here saying he was going to cancel the rest of his visits. Things change we all know that. The grade issue seems to be more than just the EE thing to me. Its smells strange enough to me that I wonder if he will play anywhere in the SEC or maybe even in D1.

Does anyone actually know if he made the grades last semester to even qualify? I was really hoping he would be a Vol, but if he didn't make them, I will try to let this go and move on...haha

Concur. And I think we'll be fine with the freshmen WR's coming in. Pretty jacked up about Bowles and Croom... AND Howard.

Q. Davis, Bowles, Croom, Howard would make up for losing Patterson. No doubt. I like Davis being here for 4 years compared to 2 for CP. Croom looks good already and Howard is just blazing.

If he wants to come here we would gladly take him, but if he chooses not to, so be it. We have other options

I was thinking Baylor or Oklahoma State would be by far the best two fits for this guy.

Imagine how great our 11 personnel would be.

You didn't read what I posted correctly. I didn't say anything about us being strong. I said people seem to think we are, but after JH and DR there's a serious drop off. Freshmen coming in can't be counted on just like the JH and DR then AA and VD weren't the last two years because the don't know the system. Neither set really contributed till later in the year. SA had some catches at UF being the exception.

I haven't been on this thread fr a while, but why has everyone completely written this off? CP was a long time Vol lock and his main recruiter, (Hinshaw) is still here. From everything I've heard/read, they have a very close bond.. Redding was basically told by Hinshaw that he wouldn't be recruited anymore by UT because they needed JUCO help at the position, and somebody who could help immediately was likely to take his spot.. I'm sure there's been negative news on his recruitment lately, but r we really completely out of it?

So we are OUT? I know that Davis for 4 years would be better than Patterson for 2.. but we could take them both right? Patterson is just nasty, I don't particularly believe that we HAVE to have him to be great at WR next year but wouldn't hurt to pick him up... if he wants to come to UT.

I would have loved to sign Patterson especially if he were an EE, but if losing him gets us Q Davis, I am completely fine with that.

If sab is from Nashville, I think milk said he liked Bill Hall so that would fit.
