Ben Obamanu and Devin Aromashadu are the two the earlier poster was trying to name. Both ate playing in the NFL. Can't remember if they are past five years though. Probably past seven. Think they played on the AU team that beat us in the 2004 sec championship.

The other WR was Tim H...something. He grew up a Tenn. fan but went to Auburn. Never amounted to much as he was always injured.

Tim Hawthorne was the other WR. Taylor was another in that timeframe. Not sure he made it to the NFL or not.

I don't remember Hawthorne ever saying anything about being a vols fan growing up. He's one of my buddys homeboy. He got injured(in a car accident I think) and his career was basically over. I think he lost his passion for the game. Now I remember: Frank Sanders, Courtney Taylor, Devin Aromashadu, Ben Obamanu, Darvin Adams, and Blake. I do stay in Alabama too. Lol so I may have seen these guys more than most other fans. The guys on that list are okay/good players but not like what we've had at WR U.

He was at Tennessee today and got to hang out with the coaches and players. He said Tennessee is in his top three and will receive an official visit. We'll have the full story later tonight.
-Fortenberry.

They unrelenting nature of Tennessee's recruitment of Patterson has paid off as he feels Tennessee is in it for the long haul with him and the proof is that the Vols easily make his top three.

"They've just been on me since day one. They've never given up. Like, some schools talking to me didn't really talk to me for a long time. But, with Tennessee, they're here and I know that they're sticking by me,"
Patterson offered. "They're in my top three."

patterson wouldn't reveal the other two teams in his top group but did say he is hoping to take all five of his official visits and that he plans on deciding closer to the junior college deadline of signing for january enrollees, which is in december.
While he did take the tennessee visit, patterson said recruitment hasn't been too busy recently and he's not sure what his next step is with it.

Well we know 2 of the 3. UT and the Barn. Beyond that I'm not sure what he's thinking. Still looks good for UT at this point.

Yeah, it's been awhile since his recruitment, but I remember him specifically having some connection to Tennessee. Either he was a fan of UT growing up, grew up in Tennessee, parents attended UT, etc. I can't remember now, but he supposedly liked Tennessee early on in his recruitment and cooled on them and chose Auburn.

Nothing set in stone yet.

He's said for a long time he would decide after he took his OVs, but he recently hinted that he might do something sooner.

First of August with DJ and Croom would be great. Then we need some DT and Dlinemen to start coming onboard.
