McCullers is gonna be fine. Of course he's gonna have a "learning curve" and of course he's gonna be going against much better talent than he's used to.. BUT he's a BIG MAN and u can bet Palermo AND Sal are gonna give him alot of attention and bring him along.. A guy that size, taught the right technique can/will do some damage. But give the guy the time it's gonna take to be good at what he's being taught to do.. Meanwhile we've got some talent (Couch, Clark, maybe Carson) to play the NG position.

Why does VN want to nickname all the players? The team will nickname him if it happens. Just like AJ Johnson(The Beast), the team(didn't the team nickname him something else at first) and his gameplay nicknamed him.

AJ said his nickname was The beast. I simply relayed it. I'll ask if it's changed I guess. I didn't make that up I could care less

Yea I remember his name being AJ "the beast" Johnson on fb b4 he played his freshman year (stalker I know).

AJ got that name while he was in HS. It wasn't something that just came up once he got to UT. Orange Venom can vouche for that.

Nickname fits him. He plays like a beast in the big games. Florida, LSU, Bama, and SCAR he was making plays for us.

He played best against run-first teams last year. This year he can stay on the field and be formidable against any type of offense. He has really improved his body/quickness. Sideline to sideline player and gets downhill in a hurry. Curt probably gets in the backfield more though, just based on position. Can't wait to see them work off each other behind a real SEC D line.

This defense will let him attack more. Watch how he blows up plays this year. The way contain is coached in this defense he'll be in on a lot plays. I'll take him 1 on 1 head up with any RB. The way he grab Trent last year as a true freshman really impressed me. He country strong.
