Autry had a lot of talking to do Wednesday night as Mississippi State, Alabama and Tennessee all called. For the Vols, it was recruiting coordinator Terry Joseph who phoned the third-ranked junior college player in the country.

"He was just wanting to see how I was doing and how everything was going," Autry said of his talk with Joseph.


When it comes to the Vols, who he officially visited in July, Autry said he still has a good feeling about them.

"Really, just how they do things. Just because I think they have everything and they have some good d-linemen coming up and I want to be a part of that," Autry said.

His top group is UT, Bama, Miss St, with Auburn behind them. Wants to visit all 4.

Watched Autry and Jacobs play Thursday. Autry is ridiculously good. He would be our best defensive player if we land him. Bama seems to be our main competition. Autry's d-line coach is former Bammer Freddie Roach. From what I hear, Roach is really pushing Bama and is trying to get in good with Saban to eventually land a job. Shady but legal. I see why our staff is putting so much time and effort into Autry.

Alabama took 6 DL last year and have 4 committed already this year. Hopefully, he will see our immediate need as a plus.
