'12 JUCO DE Denico Autry (MSU signee)

Anyone who tries to pretend that last years roster wasn't attrotious, that reaching a bowl game with that roster wasn't a major accomplishment and that we weren't robbed of 2 other victories is being willfully ignorant...that's all...and there's no point in arguing with someone who chooses to be that way...nothing any of us say will cause them to decide to not be that way

Exactly. And as mentioned earlier, some people are just never happy. We will have a solid season, and another solid recruiting class.

Everyone needs to calm their tits.:boobies:

The only problem is that on they'll still be complaining and moaning if we get a top 10-15 class. Some people are never happy with anything.

Having a top 10-15 class will prove NOTHING if it is not a class filled with top defensive front 7 talent. We could end up with the #1 recruiting class in the country and if it is nothing but RBs and WRs it is useless as that is not what will fix our issues on defense. If that were the case....Yes, I would still be complaining. :good!:

Really because this is what you said when the OP asked about the season we had with Kiffin and the almost wins vs. Florida and Alabama?

"I could not be happier"

winning record with a beatdown of georgia

Hey Pace, if you read any of my posts before I've said numerous times that I won't even care what our ranking is as long as we fill our needs on the front 7.

You didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.

Please define "robbed."

If by robbed, you mean the coaching staff was ignorant of the number of players they had on the field/rotation at LSU and that the offense was content with three straight rushes up the middle with well over a minute left on the clock during the MCB, then yes, we were robbed. But by the coaches, no one else.

I like the coaching staff well enough and I'm fine with giving them a little time, but you can't ignore the fact that the coaches played a large part in us losing to UNC and LSU.

I just said it as you know if we end up with a decent class (top 25) and miss our mark on defense there will be a large number of posters yelling what a great job the staff did as all they see is class ranking.

And then there could be a class like last year that was forced to take a bunch of O-Linemen and hurt our ranking that will result in people pissing and moaning like you do that we finished 13th. So what's your point?

I gotcha. I see what you meant now.

I would have no problem at all if we could end recruiting today with a class of:

4DT
3DE
4LB
All solid recruits with quality SEC offer lists.

Fill the class with 2 star offensive projects for all I care....we could finish ranked 53rd best class...and I would take it.

My point was under CPF we were not in any NCAA trouble. He started losing and was sent packing. He dedicated his life to Tennessee...I think CDD would have alot less rope in which to hang himself. JMO

I agree, and I don't see how this was hard to understand.

Simply because Fulmer didn't become the head coach with a depleted roster that HAD to start walk-ons. His teams in the late 90s were loaded. CDD notsomuch. So, IMO, its far from the same.

No...by robbed I mean that the officiating was so bad that on a single play it allowed several LSU/UNC penalties to go unpunished while punishing UT...and the rule about an offensive penalty stopping the clock in the last minute of each half is so unfair that in the offseason it was changed to mimic the NFL rule where 10 seconds are runoff in this case...and that this rule is universally referred to as the Derrick Dooley rule because it is universally accepted that said rule screwed our current coach twice last year...

That, in and of itself, is the deifinition of robbed

The refs screwed us in the end. Unfortunately that's part of the game. Sometimes it simply can't be avoided, but had our staff acted better it would've been irrelevant.

I get that...and both teams in any given game can say what you're saying...If we had done this or they had done that then x would have happened....

But the fact remains that in both games we did enough to win...it wasn't pretty in either game but we had won both games...then bad officiating and an unfair rule screwed us out of wins on the last play of regulation both times

You cannot convince me that the LSU game is anyone's fault other than our staffs. It was completely uncalled for and embarrassing.
