'12 JUCO DB Otis Jacobs (A&M signee)

He committed to aTm last summer. When Sherman was let go he said he would look at his options. Looks like Rivals hasn't changed his profile b/c he doesn't have another visit date set yet to change him from Solid Verbal to Soft Verbal.

Thanks.

On UT:

“I’m going to visit. I’m going up there to visit either this weekend or early next week. But it’s more than likely going to be this weekend ? this Friday.”

“Definitely by next weekend,” he said, “I want to know exactly where I want to go.”

- Quotes from 247. I got them from a poster on VQ.

Says he's narrowed it down to Nebraska, A&M, and UT, but goes on to say that A&M doesn't have a coach right now and Nebraska is kinda far away.

- VQ poster summarizing the rest of the article.

- Rivals quotes from Jacobs JUCO coach. These were from back in May. He also said in the article that Otis's grades were good and that he expected a big season out of him.
Edit: Nm, Texas a,m
Does anyone know where he signed to play straight out of high school? Or were his issues such, that he knew he had to go to JUCO, no matter what?

"I work with a lot of kids in Covington,Louisiana ...I have not worked with him but I know him...he is a fast Playmaker...Otis would upgrade our team speed...he could play both ways....Dale Carter....BOTTOMLINE" - JJ McCkleskey

A&M site is reporting that Kevin Sumlin will not retain any of the the previous staff, probably a great thing for Tennessee.

Enjoyed it, too. Read all of his stuff. His short fiction is pretty good. If you've never picked it up, it's worth it.

Never read his short fiction. My fave book of his is Lost Boys. One of my top ten overall reads Read it before I had kids though. Now might be a rough read.

Sorry AC. About Jacobs- I think we get him. Sumlin not exactly known for his defense

This is the SEC. That crap won't work here. He better be recruiting to that side of the ball, or they will be the new ol miss. Their defense is already atrocious.

I'm interested to see how his style translates to the SEC...I think it could pull an upset here and there, but I don't see it being a consistent winner... Kinda like Arkansas...I believe they are topping out this season, and we prob only see them regress from here out.. Texas am should be able to recruit better than Arkansas though..
