Cornerback
Thatcher, Az.
Eastern Arizona J.C.
HT: 6'2
WT: 205
40: 4.4

Dixon is suppose to be one of the top JUCO's in the nation & maybe the top JUCO CB. I really doubt we pursue hard since we took 2 JUCO CB's last year but I started a thread just incase. He would have 3 to play 2, he is originally from Florida & said he does NOT want to go back. Alabama is pushing hard for him.

Wow kid looks legit. Saban loves Big DB's. Not a position of need for us right now but definitely a guy to watch.

Definitely a Dooley recruit, but we have little need for a JuCo defensive back IMO with the impressive haul of guys last year.

Not a need at CB. Even if one of the juco cbs is a bust, we still have talented guys on the roster to fill that spot. Getting a 4 year guy to develop makes more sense if you are going to spend that spot on a DB.

Junior College Transfer Travell Dixon just confirmed to me that he is no longer with the #Alabama football program.

Stating personal and family reason, but have heard he is not happy that it appears he can not make the starting group. Only posting this here because I believe UT was in on him at one point. He was a JUCO All American DB. To be honest shocked because most UA fans were expecting big things from.

Sorry for the kid but it's always good to see Bama get a bust every now and then.

Damn that's crazy. Guess he should have signed with UM or FSU if he needed/wanted to be close to home.

Today has been crazy. LSU lost Honeybadger, UF lost a backup DT and RSF WR J'Juan Story and Bama losing Dixon.

Weird day but Dixon had struggled and it appeared that G Smith already jumped in the depth chart. So I assume FSU will grab him if he wants to stay close to home.

Nick Alajajian he moved back over to DT after playing OL the last two years. He's close to 300 pounds and was in the 5 man rotation at DT. Now one of the fr have to step in.

I am sure you saw and he is still with the team but C Black out for 3 to 4 months with shoulder injury.

Just saw that on twitter. Sounds like he'll miss the year.

Got hammered good on a tackle on Sunday. Had not practiced since. The one position we are deep on the team atleast. Anywhere else it would hurt. Like Dixon leaving will hurt our depth.

Not surprised on Dixon at all. His fault though. Considering most JUCO's have immediate PT as the highest priority, he was taking an enormous risk when he decided to sign with a program as loaded as Alabama is.
