12' IN QB Gunner Kiel

The point is not to have to prove to anyone that I can give an example. I am simply going with the possibility of not being the no. 1 OL out of a ton of college football teams. I am sure many universities feel great about their OL. Most SEC teams have quality OL. Ours is young and has unlimited potential, but I am not willing to step out on the "Best in the nation" limb without seeing most of the guys play their second season.

First we gotta see some of those listed play their first SEC season!

this kid's actually said he wanted to graduate and get on campus early

so likely, his decision'd be an early one

He has stated that he will make his decision this summer and will only visit the school he commits to for an OV. Again anything can change but he seems to know once he comits he will not change.

We are still pursuing Zeke Pike. We are also comfortable not taking a QB at all this year.

The chance of Bray and Worley both getting devastated by injury in the same season is slim to none.

Pike is committed to Auburn. "We" aren't pursuing him but obviously "we" are still interested if he sways. Him getting kicked out of the 7 on 7's didn't fly too well with our staff either.... and BTW....

Why are you saying "we" as if you're on staff? :birgits_giggle:

Thanks again for pretending to know what you're talking about.

lynch will be a nole

tuitt will be a jacket

ive heard it all before...if notre dame has a great year, i like our chances. if we underachieve, he will go elsewhere.

So what you're saying is that if ND plays anything like they have in the past 5 years, then he will go elsewhere.

I kind of disagree with being comfortable not taking a QB this year. They are offering way too many QB's to not be needing one. Its not likely both get hurt but you never know. It happened peytons freshman year and we played 4 QB's. Caseys Freshman year we played 3-4. You just never know and I just dont think Nance is going to ever be a contributor. Probably take 1 QB,3 WR's and atleast 2 maybe 3 rb's. A cpl O LIneman and that leaves 10-13 for Defense. We only need a couple on secondary and can focus the rest on LB's,DE and DT's.

It doesn't even have to be an injury thing imo. Look at the timeline for Florida. In the 2007 season they had a Sophomore stud and a highly regarded freshman (hopefully this mirrors us in 2011 though Brantley was higher rated than Worley per recruiting services) on the roster. 2008 they win the National title and don't take a QB that cycle. 2009 Tebow stays for Senior year and they have another nice season.2010 they have a horrid year of QB play cause the touted Freshmen didn't live up to expectations and have just as many questions at QB going into 2011. Now think of how much worse that scenario becomes if your stud QB leaves a year early. If there is no SEC caliber QB out there which UT has a shot at then so be it, but i don't think "comfort" has much to do with it. Just my two cents.

I am a tennessee fan and use we sometimes when I talk about the coaches or the team that plays for the university I graduated from.

Bam everything I said is accurate. I do not have to read on a pay site an inaccurate article and tell everyone that Cross will be a linebacker...

What's funny is as soon as I saw that question asked earlier today I knew it would be SGM to respond lol

Such a predictable negatroll.

So much for him being "scared" of UTs depth chart. Oklahoma and Bama aren't exactly bare in the cupboard.

UGA is in that boat and I think it is where both teams should be. The QB class next year is MUCH better. There are more elite '13 QBs in the state of GA alone, than there are nationwide in '12.

UT is in very good standing with Printz and with UGA making Ramsey the #1 QB target, Dooley has to like his chances with Eddie, especially if Bama lands Gunner. I would hunker down and wait till next year if I was in those shoes too.

Kiel is from around Indy right? OU is not exactly close. Bama is marginally farther away.

I was thinking Illinois when I typed that, but you are right. Indiana, but I was thinking he was close to the Ill state line, at least. Either way, neither is really close I guess.
