And he was good enough to play football for a living for about 15 years after he graduated, even if it was in the bush league.
Andy Kelly was pretty darn good. But he is certainly the exception, and not the rule, where in-state talent at quarterback is concerned.
I think that Todd Helton had a chance to be a good QB, but being a potential Hall of Fame baseball player derailed his football career.
