On topic though I really would like to see him at te. Having a pass catching te working the middle would help open the flats for our playmakers to get the ball in space

Something special is happening at UT and it is going to be fun for some time.
Congrats to the entire Croom family............... and the entire UT family for that matter.
Here's an example of the upswing we are going to experience. A good kid with his head on straight who carries himself well. A young man who genuinely loves what he is commiting to and has the support of many people around him who are sharing in his excitement for his college choice.
The recruits that Dooley has brought in and is going to continue to bring in represent all of us alumni, fans, students and UT lovers with a respectable student athlete who can sit in front of a camera and show what a student athlete should be.
It is so nice to see what type of young men we are bringing in here. I'm proud to be a Tennessee Vol!

You guys are as dramatic as a bunch of high school girls. Stop talking about all this garbage regarding Croom and start discussing something useful. Noone should care how he's a Vol or who said he'd be a Vol... who cares???? He's a VOL so stop beating a dead horse and post something a FOOTBALL fan would actually care about.

He's a WR for sure, watch the commitment video. He's not as big as Scout has him listed. He's kind of thin especially upper body. He really wants a shot at WR... I don't see him going to TE if he can run a 4.5 or so and keep his weight below 225 give or take. My guess is he's about 210 right now... way less than 233 Scout has him listed at.

This post is a perfect example of why I feel the need to defend myself. This is untrue. I haven't talked to any recruit in over a month. That stopped when it starting bringing a negative light to my beloved Vols.

My fear is that I will not even be able to take my little 9 year old girl to Vols games as my father did for me. That some crazy fan is going to believe the crap said here and it will not be a safe situation for her.

If mz Croom really wants to be mad at someone she should be angry with the person who told me Jason's name was on the commit list in the coaches' office.

@Sabanocchio
@ComoKidKimbrow I agree, Brian. Sorry. Just ignore the haters.

Nothing is the issue.... we picked up a 6'5 WR and all the ladies want to talk about is pointless drama.

Kid had a nice 1st ballgame. That's all.

The more I see Croom, the more I like him.

He reminds me if Kelvin Benjamin from 2011 recruiting cycle an that's a very good thing!

I hope I am lucky enough to be in your shoe in about 8-9 years. My son plays WR AND CB in football and center field in Baseball. I hope he is talented enough to earn a scholly somewhere.

I hope you are too. Feed him well, keep him surrounded by good people; and keep God in his life... get a few trainers along the way, and dont baby a boy, because he'll never become a man. Let him take a few falls, tell him to suck it get rinse, wipe off, put a guaze on it,, get your behind back out there. Make sure you dont have a coach that only like him for his talent and not who he is as a person.

I'll pray for u in the meantime.

There's no way Croom is 233 lbs by the way... maybe his mom can tell us what his weight is, but in his commitment video he looks like a WR, not a TE. I'd say the 212lbs that Rivals is closer to the truth which means he's ideal WR size.

Croomster is 220-225... he's been up and down the past month, its been hard to maintain running and practicing in the heat 2x a day. He's not 212...he's solid as rock and strong as bull.

FYI:

Jason picks up his weight for basketball; and he was weighed at a camp during B-ball season...

He drops it for football season.

Well there you go, he's 220-225lbs. Thanks, MZTERRY :hi:

Hello MZTERRY and welcome to the Vol family! I noticed your son mentioned being a "Vol For Life." Im so glad that concept is really resonating with the young men that Coach Dooley is recruiting! Tell me, just how much was the VFL program a factor in Jasons decision to pick UT?
