On Thursday at 4 PM I got a call from my brother. He asked if I would be interested in going to UT's scrimmage at 2 PM on Saturday. I said, "are you kiddin me? Yeah....How in the world did you swing that?" Out of respect for all involved I'm not naming any names. He said that a call was made and we had to wait to see if we could get added to a list. COOL!

My brother and I coach rec league football and we had practice later in the evening. Let's just say I had a little more pep in my step. I was excited to say the least.

We get through with practice, do a little extra work with some kids, chat with a few parents, then make our way to our cars.

"So, we good, for this weekend?" Even then I didn't want to say it out loud, lol. He said, "Nah, guy got back with me, said somebody at the last scrimmage tweeted the whole time. Coach is angry(not the word my brother really used), and he's closed it down to just(again out of respect for all involved I won't say who can still attend) these folks."

It's not the end of the world, but it would have been an awesome experience. I mean why would someone go to a scrimmage and tweet the whole time? Seriously? Isn't it cool enough to be one of the few there? Can't ya wait to inform yer buddies in person after it's over?

Oh well, thought this was about the most appropriate place to post in light of all the BS. GBO!

Being called out on the radio and the ensuing backlash on here hasn't stopped him. Looks like it's going to take the head coach telling him to stop before it does. And from what I hear that's about to happen. Even if it happens he'll still fight for his right to contact high school kids.

Calling telling exactly what he's been doing "lies" is hilarious btw.

Honestly, you are more of an embarrasment than anything. I mean, who has words on a forum with a top recruits mom? Quit talking about concern over your daughter and act like a man.

What's really any different from what sab does from rivals? I honestly don't care either way but seems people are splitting hairs here.

I would think a positive reputation has alot to do with it when it comes to recruiting and contact with these kids. Rivals has one.

Are you willing to give Dooley that name? You want to pass the buck and create another target, then just tell the coaching staff who it is giving out such valuable info.

You messed up Sab. It doesn't make you a bad person, but it has put you in a no win situation. The best thing you can do is stop now. Everyone is trying to tell you this, you just can't seem to accept it. We all understand you love the Vols. We get that you weren't trying to do anything intentionally harmful. You got caught up in your zeal and you took it too far. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same, but from the outside looking in, it's too much. Please, back off.

And if anyone here or anywhere would harrass you in front of your little girl, they aren't much of a man or woman. No adult should ever bring hurt to a child because they are unhappy with a parent. I would hope that we, as Vol fans, are classier than that.

There's no way Croom is 233 lbs by the way... maybe his mom can tell us what his weight is, but in his commitment video he looks like a WR, not a TE. I'd say the 212lbs that Rivals is closer to the truth which means he's ideal WR size.

Plenty of loss and parents don't like rivals and how they pry. Justin worley felt so. Recruits are constantly saying how they have to turn their phones off because they get so many calls. But ok rivals has a good rep what about these smaller sites that don't have a big rep? They do the same thing as rivals but don't have a rep is that wrong? Isn't sab doing for us on volnation what Brent Hubbs does for rivals? What I'm really saying is who the heck cares really?

Obviously the recruits mother does. That should be the most important issue. When someone is starting to damage our recruiting...it's a problem. JMO
