word in GA high school circles is that his transfer set off a few alarm bells and he may or may not be ruled eligible to compete this fall.

jaquay williams was really, really impressive. He definitely has the look of a good wideout and caught most everything thrown his way, including some pretty nice catches where he had to jump and stretch out long for them. He said he had a really good visit to ohio state last weekend and that it was nice. He said he likes coach lance thompson and hopes to see the vols in the coming weeks or at least this summer.

His schedule will likely only get busier over the next few weeks. He's already visited a few colleges and hopes to make it to Tennessee in the coming weeks.

"I'm going up there in the next two weeks. If I don't get up there in the next two weeks, I'll get up there in the summer," Williams said. "I don't know really know anything about them. I like coach (Lance) Thompson."

While on the trips, Williams is hoping to find certain things he's looking for in a university.

"What the type of offense is it for a wide receiver, the wide receiver coach and can he coach and get me better and if I feel at home. I want a place that I can feel at home," Williams offered.

Williams wants to visit LSU & Miami, he really liked his OSU visit & his parents went with him on it.

Would make a fine addition to what we already have on campus. Not sure we'd be spending as much time recruiting him as we have been if he's in a S&P situation.

Regardless, he's gonna be a hard pull but at least he's gonna see UT.

If the info was coming from UGA fans/sites then I would take it with a grain a salt but the "talk" was part of Rivals chat....reason he left Heard County wasn't because of football program..he has some school issues that were going to prevent him from playing this season.

"I am going to commit right after spring practice is over," said Jaquay Williams. "I do not have a date set or anything, but I know I will be committing pretty soon."

Who remains in contention?

"Miami, Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee are my top schools."

"No one is on top," Williams said. "I'm looking more at LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama and Auburn right now. I have looked more at those schools based on the coaches there and the offenses they run, but I'm open to anyone right now."

"I am looking for a school with a wide receivers coach that has a name for himself in football and can make me the best wide receiver I can be," Williams said. "I have talked to coach (Charlie) Baggett at Tennessee and he has a lot of experience with receivers in college and in the NFL."

Talks to Coach Thompson on a regular basis & wants to get up for an UOV this summer.
