I know Borne will be there I don't know if they will see Hegedus again or not. Dude has a solid family and a good upbringing.

Hegedus is high on the coaches list, but there's a couple of other guys they want to evaluate before they offer. They say they will "possibly" offer in the near future.

So it sounds to me like they are treating him as a back-up plan.

With the massive line of top notch recruits lined up outside Neyland Stadium wanting to commit, I think back up plans are a great idea.

What concerns me is while the staff seems to want to have each recruit visit 3.7 times, camp here, own 11 items of UT clothing, and name their dog Smokey to earn an offer....these kids are going elsewhere instead of going through the Tenenssee recruit process. Your not going to find to many solid prospects willing to sit back and wait on you to decide if they are good enough for you.

My concern is alot of the "bigger fish" people have said Tennessee was at or near the top of their list....is going elsewhere. Somone mentioned they think we are slow playing Bourne. Does anyone actually think we are in a position to tell 300lb DTs to wait while we see if we can do better? It did not work out so well last year.

I for one hope your right. Maybe after this years class we can slide some of our RB's down to play some DT. Someone tell Smith and Lane they are going to need to bulk up.

Hegedus would absolutely 100% help us with Printz and TBH we need the help. This is a guy that needs an offer.

I agree the kid should have an offer. He has good size, speed and does well at catching the ball in traffic. It would be a bonus if landing Hegedus would help us land Printz...especially if he would commit this year. If we could get an early commit from a 2013 QB, I would be fine with not getting one in the 2012 class. Use the ship on defense.

And him and Keithon are boys. We could get both if we offer Hegedus.

The only problem is we'd then have to take 4 receivers in this class: Bowles, Patterson, Hegedus, and Redding.

Which is something I don't think we can afford to do this year, given our needs on the front 7. I think we'll take 3 WR but no more than that.

I have a feeling Keithon is leaning elsewhere. I think we get Bowles and Patterson which leaves room for just one more, but if we want Printz, we got to have Hegedus.
