'12 GA WR Charlie Hegedus

tell auburn to stay away!!!!! and dude... have you seen this kid at any camps?! i would have to say in the last 6 months this kid has proven to be one of the best... hes finally learned this position. this past year was his first year playing receiver

A WR should beat a DB the majority of the time in 1-on-1 drills. Signing players like Hegedus is what got UT in the mess we're in now and there's a reason nobody in the SEC has offered him.

What DB has beaten him? I've kept up with it closely, so please enlighten me.

Yeah, because he's just come on this summer. No one offered Tyler Bray either other than us.

By the end of the summer you'll be eating your words on this.

Maybe, maybe not. Just personally from watching his film, I don't see the talent needed to play in the SEC. But hey, that's why they pay Dooley the big bucks and why I'm going to school to be a P.E. teacher lol. I'll trust the staff's opinion. (Which as of right now, seems to be the same as mine.)

His film is from last year! He's gotten tons better. Ignore the film. If you aren't at camps watching him run routes, then you have no right to say any of this.

I actually do have a right to say it (1st Amendment) hahaha. Look it's just my opinion. I personally don't think Heg has the ability to be a threat in the SEC and I think he would be a wasted scholarship. Maybe I'm right, maybe you are...we'll know in a few years.

I didn't say any DB's beat him. I said WR's should win most of time.

Well, if no defensive backs have beat him, I guess he won all of the time.

Listen, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But, not all kids hit their stride by Junior year. Charlie has grown 2 inches in the last year. I think he has taken people a little off guard. Don't think anyone was expecting him to be as good as he has been at camps

wr charlie hegedus informed me that coaches from #southcarolina and #tennessee have told him they will offer once he runs in front of them.

This may seemed like a smart@$$ post but it's not. Did they not like what they saw or waiting for him to come back?

Most likely Charlie simply didn't work out in front of them yet. They want to see him run and see how he is with routes, etc before they extend that offer.

You don't seem to be realizing that last year was CH's first year playing WR and so the video you are watching is a first time WR. He is much better already, in better shape, understands the game and plays better, etc. A friend of mine actually was speaking to a couple of Lassiter coaches at the supermarket the other day and they, unprompted about him, started raving about Charlie, in the middle of the grocery store checkout line. That is a pretty solid endorsement, IMVHO. In the camps and I expect next year on the field, he looks nothing like last year's film. Two different players, comparing that film to him now would be like trying to determine how good Bray would be by watching Kellen Moore recruitment tapes.

He wasn't at UT's camp last week?

I don't know, I thought he was, but he apparently didn't run for the coaches if he was according to that quote. Or perhaps they want to see him a second time before pulling the trigger, make sure it wasn't just a freaky day for him or something. Where is GT to straighten this out?

Not going to argue over some hearsay conversation. If you're not a fan, that's cool. But, I personally think you will be eating your words before this process is over. And, I hope you do

The reason Charlie hasn't got an offer yet is because all the camps aren't over with. It will be July when he gets his offer.
