Hegedus will not commit as soon as offered as has been suggested. He's probably going to wait until the end of summer although we would be the clear #1.

I'm not sure where any assumption came from that he will commit as soon as offered. It's the exact opposite of my assumptions. I think he will have many decisions to make, and we need to offer and recruit him hard if we want to sign him. Schools like Harvard are talking to him about the value of an education. It's not every recruit that has the grades and test scores for such competition to enter the picture. Charlie loves football, and Tennessee has long been in his top tier favorite teams. So we have an excellent chance of signing him, but it's not a slam dunk.

It came from a poster on here that says he knows him personally. he said the minute he gets an offer he would committ. Im pretty sure he will get an offer and hope he does committ.

I just believe he knows him very well. If he doesn't know what he is going to do, I doubt anyone does. So many intangibles. But, I would love to see him play for UT. Hopefully, all the cards fall in place

He will not commit as soon as he gets the offer. He's going to wait and see what happens, but we'll be in good shape. He's going to wait until the end of summer or during the season to commit. That's from someone who knows him personally.

Thats cool I dont know either way. I was just responding to a question somebody had asked as to why we think he will committ on the spot. I was just explaining thats where we got that from. the guy said he knew him personally and talks to him. I dont care when he committs I just want him to get a scholly and be a Vol. I am by no means a coach or know if a kid can be good in college I just like his film and seems to have a good attitude.

Auburn - Grandfathers favorite team...one of Charlies long time favorite teams.
UGA - Instate school, sister goes there, played HS ball with UGA backup QB Hudson Mason in Charlies Sophomore year.
Alabama - Mother graduated there.

While I agree that Tennessee currently leads the race to sign Charlie, the above factors would lead me to conclude it's not a slam dunk (Even though I can't slam dunk, I'm sure one of you jumpers would do the honors!)

I agree, what I fear most is for one of the above teams to offer and start recruiting him hard while we drag our feet. He is going to be at camps in all the above schools this summer, as well as gatorland. They all are telling him they want to see him run in front of them before an offer, and Charlie had the fastest times in our camp when he did that for us.

Charlie going to Bama and UGA w/o an UT offer is like your girl attending another frats kegger w/o you.....not going to end well. lol

He is high on UT right now. Loved everything about it. But, he is expecting an offer soon.....and headed all over the south in the next few weeks. Coaches need to make up their minds and if they want him, do it before it's a missed opportunity
