TE
Hogansville, Callaway H.S.
6'3 220 LBS

Will be here for JR. Day on the 26th. Arguably the best TE in Georgia and a top 15 player in the state.

UF was the first to offer. Moved to QB last yr after Quan Bray transfer to Troup County....would have been great for Meyer's system...a TE that plays QB! lol

TE is one of our biggest needs in this class...Dooley is supposed to be a TE specialist and had heard he wants to run a 2 or 3 TE as a part of his offense, but we dont have the playmakers at the position! And we only brought in 2 this recruiting class with Clear and Downs...

Already has many elite offers from Bama, Auburn, Florida, UGA, GT, USC, Clemson and he plans on seeing UT very soon. GT wants him as a QB/WR and UF wants him as a QB/TE (imagine that) so he has versatility to play many positions. Already taken trips to UGA, GT, Bama, and Clemson, and he plans on visiting UT soon. Grew up a UGA fan, but not as much now although he wants to play in the SEC.

"I've been talking to them for a little bit. I talk to coach Lance Thompson," Parks said. "We've mainly just been talking about a lot of the offensive stuff and how I fit good into their offensive scheme. He's been talking a lot about Tyler Bray, the freshman quarterback. He's been talking a lot about him."
"I'm supposed to be going to sometime during the summer for a camp," Parks said about the possibility of him seeing Tennessee in person.
"I just need to take a trip up there and see how their coaching staff is and the atmosphere is and see what they have around the college to make me feel like I'm at home," Parks said.

From AU Rivals -

Parks will begin next spring as a walk-on, working towards earning his scholarship back. The former
Callaway High School (Ga.) star and Rivals250 prospect is ready to take on that challenge.

"I'm blessed. Coach Malzahn, being a good man that he is, he gave me a second chance and I appreciate it so much," Parks told AuburnSports.com.

Ricky Parks plans to return to Auburn in January.
"I'm going to earn it back and keep a clean slate and stay out of trouble, be a student-athlete. It's fair. I got in trouble, I did what I did, it's nothing but fair to accept that I have to come back as a walk-on. If I come back and be humble and be a good kid, I'll get my scholarship back, that's what Coach Malzahn told me."

Man those Alabama schools run a nice farm system. Parks and Pettway were two great call ups from Triple A ball.
