That being said, more and more 5* high school players are coming into college thinking they are the Next Big Thing. I believe Fulmer fostered this attitude of entitlement in his latter years. Richt, to his credit, appears to recognize it and to want nothing to do with it. I would not be surprised at all if he alludes to potential playing time in his recruiting pitch to Davis.

I had this conversation with them the sunday after the LSU game. When I say he was on the verge of failing classes, it was at that point. But yes, the semester ended the 14th.

What changed from the beginning of the season to now? You guys were still the same team from September. Did the game against LSU not make you realize it? Richt can't finish games. It's the culture down there. Can't finish. You would be well served to keep things in perspective for now. You guys have been defending the argument that your schedule was weak and you can't hang with decent teams and then LSU proved it. Just as Boise and South Carolina did. You beat a bad UT team by a touchdown and lost by the same margin as every other mediocre to bad team in the SEC. You're right at rock bottom with us sir.

I didnt want to start a new thread on him b/c he doesnt have a Vol offer but UGA fans, whats the story on Gurley?

Idk why in the h*** he doesnt have a Tennessee offer!

Although I disagree with you that we are at rock bottom, I do see your point about Richt not finishing games. We had a favorable schedule this year, and have another one next year so I wouldn't describe us as sinking.. also I would compare the game against Scar to yours against UK, we both gave those games away.

Dude is underrated imo.. rumors were going around that we had backed off of him since Davis was looking at us but we are still going hard after Gurley too. He really showed out and turned some heads today at in the Shrine Bowl. We are battling UNC and Clemson for his signature

I like Mike Davis but I would take Gurley over him. The kid has been blowing up this year in the playoffs and at their All Star game. His best friend is Keith Marshall and they have been public about wanting to play together.

The kid is a stud RB and a very good kid overall. I believe we are in great shape with him.

Great post TW. Look just found out a little info and TIFWIW but we are really not in the running for Davis. I'm all orange but 1 Davis really doesn't want to be a Vol and 2 there are some other things going on with this guy.

I wish Davis the best of luck at probably Clemson.

Williams, although some may disagree, is the target for UT, and it makes perfect sense.

The poster who said that crap says junk like that all the time and it's pure nonsense. UGA's future is very bright and anyone can see that. The vol's have some work to do in order to get things turned around and it's possible they do. This will be a big year for dooley if he is to keep his job. You can't have any success as a program if you change coaches as often as the vols have.

Same here.. mike davis is a heck of an rb, but i would take gurley over him. i also like how gurley has handled his recruitment and if we does commit to uga on jan 3rd i feel comfortable it would be over. mike davis' recruitment is going to be an up and down thing.

Gurley is going to UNC or Clemson, IMO. He's been leaning Clemson for awhile and Clemson has turned up the heat. He grew up a Clemson fan...
