'12 GA RB Mike Davis (USCe commit)

I agree with you. CMR has a ton of charecter.

I think the perspective here has gotten a little skewed.

I don't see both Marshal and Davis as commitments to UGA for obvious reasons. One of them will not sign.

Davis has not committed to us. We will still take at least 2 RBs, Davis could be that second guy.

Davis talked about how well he liked the UGa visit. He watched practiced and saw exactly what CMR was telling him how they needed RB's. UGa is coming after him hard now. They have Marshall, Crowell, Samuel and others. If he thinks his playing time at UGa will be better than his time at UT, then CMR is a snake oil salesman. He's got FSU this weekend, SC on the 13th of Jan, Clemson on the 20th, but that might change to UGa now. So, his last visit if he takes it will be possibly Miami. I knew he wasn't serious about Clemson though.

You don't know much about CMR to believe he is promising him any playing time. CMR is pretty consistent. As UGAInsider said CMR guarantees the chance to compete for playing time. Playing time is earned.

I know he keeps tweeting that damn picture of the four of them every few minutes, but I find it hard to believe Davis would go to Georgia with a Five Star and Four star back in the class, another Five star on campus and one committed for next year. This will end up a UT-SC battle imo.

A smart coach would never guarantee a prospect playing time. A smart coach would guarantee the opportunity to compete and earn playing time.

You have the wrong perception about how CMR and staff go about recruiting.

That's every school and every coach. What you saying? I'm talking past the competition. Competition at UGa is a tougher test than at UT. Crowell had 847 yds, Harton (SO) had 361, with Samuel had +200 being a SR next year and they still have another game. Oh and you'll have Malcolme as a SOPH next year too. Marshall is a EE and will be already in the system and have a leg up on Davis. Poole had 683 and Lane has 280 yds. Our returning leading rusher will have 280. We have Toney, Lane, and Smith with some experience, but nothing significant. Hill and Watson are coming in, but that's what it is competition. Competition at UT is less for him than UGa.

Nothing to see here folks. Move along.
It's very clear at this point based on his comments that we'll not be getting Davis.

Remember your buddy in school that you talked into going out with the ugly chick so you could go with the hot girl?

Mike Davis IS that guy and he's buying what CMR has to sell.

(Sorry to you guys that were the ones that went out with the fat, ugly chicks. The rest of us still owe you all for that.)

All of what you said is true. The depth chart favors UT. Maybe he wants to stay home and compete. We don't know what is on his mind.

My issue with your original comment was that you said our coach was misleading Davis. CMR is not that kind of a man.

Yes it is misleading talking about your RB problems. You've got Crowell, Malcombe, Samuels, and now Marshall who's an EE. Come on Son.

Samuel- Last year of eligibility.

Crowell- Not the most popular guy in the locker room and has been disciplined a few times,

Malcome- Not always happy with the coaches and was actually supposed to transfer in the middle of the season, had it all planned out but changed his mind a week later. Was also disciplined this year.

Marshall- Will be a true freshman that will have to earn playing time.

It got so bad for us this year (injuries and discipline) that we started walkons vs. UK. Our coaches will take 2 RBs to make sure we have enough depth.

COME ON SON.

Don't want to hear your whining about your spoiled RB's and about no one likes them or they supposed to transfer. You will have 2 Soph, and a true Freshman EE, ahead of him IF he decides to sign with UGa. Saint Richt should run a tighter ship or recruit guys with better character. Regardless of your so called problems, your backs are better than ours right now. Just saying.
