'12 GA RB Mike Davis (USCe commit)

A lot of people think Davis is just doing this to make the UF coaches show him more love. Also, a lot of FSU people feel that if Davis does indeed decommit from UF that they would be the likely choice.

I hope I'm wrong b/c Davis is the type of RB we need but I just don't see Tennessee landing him, kind of like the Pender situation.
Well if he does decommit and goes to fsu the that opens the door for Pender, IMO

If LSU playing for a NC with Miles and Chavis involved in the play calling doesn't convince you that talent makes playcalling MUCH simpler... nothing will. Chavis is not nor has he ever been a great playcaller.

The play calling I question is on the offensive side of the ball not on defense. Yes I don understand that having the talent will make play calling easier but a good coach will be able to coach up lesser talent to a higher level.

Would it be unheard of for Davis and Pender to talk and compare notes?

Really? That's a wonderful attitude for a "Vol" fan to have.

UF? Well, their coach had better talent and got one more win. UT is closer to home for him unlike Pender. UT WILL BE BACK and probably sooner rather than later.

UT does not have a starter returning and no kid this good is afraid of competition. He's likely being told the truth... if he comes in an plays to his ability... he starts.

Just because I posted some facts does not mean I am not a VOL fan. Not all fans think every recruit in the nation would come to Tennesse if offered.

UF did have a better record, will be in a bowl game, and do not have the starter returning either. I would think UF would tell him the same thing about starting.

As I said in my other post, he would be a big pickup if he can look past all the things I mentioned and chose to be a VOL.

I would love to see him in orange without any blue, and I am keeping my fingers crossed, but it has been that way all year for me with RB's ... I got my hopes up and one goes to aTm, another to FSu and I am guessing from your post this one stays with the gators..

We sure could use him tho....

Why would Davis decommit from UF only to sign with FSU, who has a stable of running backs and Pender coming in? That would seem so stupid. I think Davis sticks with UF as well, hope I'm wrong.

Davis is screwing with the UF staff because he wants one of his teammates (R. Kirby) to get a UF offer. This is his way of "paying back" the coaches by taking all 5 official visits to try and get them to give in to his demands because they won't offer his teammate.

Pure drama. No more no less.

Gotta love that.

For those wondering...this staff can REALLY recruit.

That is fantastic, but until they control the locker room and win games it's pretty pointless. I think it's pretty obvious Dooley could recruit, but it took a good coach like Dykes to win with his players at La Tech.

Not Quite understanding the logic there. Raphael Kirby has an offer from UF and he's legit why would he just want to visit to lobby for a guy that already has an offer and who is as highly recruited as Krby is....
