'12 GA RB Imani Cross (Nebraska Commit)

back to Imani Cross.

We need a RB who runs violently. Like Hardesty did his senior year.

Not one of our RBs runs as if they are prepared to bust thru a wall.

Hopefully Cross has that mentality when he gets here.

If Cross is all he's built up to be, he will be our starting tailback next season.

Never know.

I'll give Marlin lane a shot. He appears to be moving timidly off that knee still. Give him another year of trust in those wheels.

I think that's one reason he dances around so much in the backfield, the other of course being there are d-linemen ready to take the hand-off when he gets it lol.

I was going to pose this question on the football forum...but you're as good as anyone to answer since Lane is a FL boy...

How much do you think his injury is playing into his performance this year?

If it is then it's exciting to think what he'll do when he gets past the freshmen wall AND truly get's back to full speed

He's been very impressive when he gets it in space, that play where he broke ankles and put Rambo (I think it was Rambo) on his ass with a stiff-arm was great. The play that was called back was great awareness as well IMO.

You may be right. He needs to get bigger, stronger and faster, especially to be a "between the tackles" runner in the SEC. Not bad for a freshman though.

You can tell he's getting more comfortable. He seems timid in traffic. He's very good in open field. As long he starts to stick that foot in the ground and going he'll be alright.

SIAP, but is there anywhere online that lists stats for Georgia HS players? I'd like to see a game-by-game stat line for Imani; carries, yards, catches, TDs, etc. But I can't see to find anything.

If you scour this post, you can find a stat line for each game, but I just didn't know if there was an official place out there somewhere.

Thanks.

Sad thing is Cross is not the leading rusher in his own Region(8-AAA) that honor currently is held by Jr Rb Chaz Thorton also on UT radar. Thorton stats thru 6 games 106 carries 1071yds and 17tds. Cross thru 6 games Approx 115 carries 1012yds and 13tds. both respective schools play each other on the 28th of October.

Cross has played tougher competition so far... Still both are great players.

King i'll give you that...Elbert Co(no slouch with 3 legit D1prospects) including RB/Lb Tyshon Dye, and Hart Co is always loaded with athletic players are no gimme's. but lets look also at the fact Chaz has only actually played 3 games into the 4th qtr usually only playing the 1st half. also head to head comparison against Chestatee Cross 24 carries 213yds.....Thorton 10 carries 243yds. like you said though both are great players, Cross more of a power runner and Thorton is just pure speed and quickness. looking forward to Oct 28th at the Brickyard.

Why is that sad?
