'12 GA DE Jordan Jenkins

Playing the game, IMO

Has to appease the home school so he doesn't get bombarded by their crazy fans till NSD.

@JNewbergESPN DE Jordan Jenkins is camping at ALA today.

@JNewbergESPN This could be Georgia's VERY next commitment... any day now

People that were thinking he was leaving that state were fooling themselves. I said it right after our camp back in June, Tennessee has no chance at Jenkins.

I agree, but I think he chooses Atlanta over Athens.

Two seperate guys, Jenkins had a great visit though. The kid close to committing is an O-lineman. Its a kid nobody has heard of but you will hear about him very soon. The kid that will commit anyday now is a Samoan kid by the name of Chester Brown.

UGa has to get OL from somewhere since they're going to bat a cool .000 on Avery Young, Joe Harris, Dj Hump, Dunker, Alexander and Waldrop.

I've heard mixed riviews on his visit to Athens...some really good and others not so much.

No next will probably be Brown an OL.

yeah, I got it.

This kid?

Chester Brown - Yahoo! Sports

So does your staff get a pass on "diamonds in the rough" or are your boards going to explode with rage like VN would if Dooley offered this kid a scholly?

We have our fair share. Our staff invited this kid to our campus to show him around and evaluate him. The staff liked what they saw and offered him. I hear the kid has good footwork and pretty good speed. His numbers will come out soon and I'm sure you'll hear alot more about this kid.

We will hit the JUCO ranks for some immediate help on the O-line. Those are some good prospects and I certainly understand your argument. Our staff evaluated this kid thoroughly and liked what they saw.

he's a BIG boy...he's out of Hinesville Ga? Army kid I believe played Varsity soccer at his last school.

Yeah, he did VERY well at DN. Most haven't heard much about him because his visit to Athens was his first to any major school or camp. He will hit the camp circuit and visit a few more schools and probably blow up, very good looking OL. You know how those Samoan's are.

He is 334 and Theus is 304 and seeing them next to each other at DN you wouldn't have guessed they were more than 15 pounds apart, kid carries the weight very well. I expect he will play at G for us, we were lining him up in drills at DN at RG mostly.

he was invited and came out for a multi day visit which you do when you really want a player. talk to national 247 analysts and they have said a lot of very good things about chester. he will step in and be a guard for us and he is a good addition to our oline recruiting. as you said we are going the juco route for a few olinemen because we need guys to step in right away next year.

Guys who saw CB said he looked about 300 (actually 295 lbs). Chester carries his weight well and we are the first camp and the first college he has stepped on the campus for. It's great we look to have ended his recruitment before it got started. he is very athletic for his size and as you said will be a guard for us. One guy i would like to see offered is Kameron Davis. he was impressive as well on dawgnight.

I knew clicking on the Jordan Jenkins thread would be a mistake....

Education, location, and playing time are the 3 main factors in his recruitment. It pretty sure it will be Auburn, Tech, Tennessee, or Florida.
