Could have done that when ND had no DB commits, honestly. Agreed, though, with the guys the Irish have committed now, there is obviously no chance Geno ends up a leprechaun.

On a side note, Saban really should be coaching at ND. Would be an absolute perfect fit, head coach and mascot rolled into one...:p

Imagine Saban at UGA. Going for their 3rd BCS NC and actually being productive with all that talent. :)

No doubt. Considering all the in-state talent in he would have to work with, UGA would be dominating the SEC like nobody ever has. :neener2:

Seriously though, FWIW, I love Coach Richt and don't think we could find a finer PERSON to run our program. As a coach though, he has made some troubling decisions and his nearly-unmoving loyalty to some may end up his undoing. Had he done the smart thing when Van-Gorder left and gone and found a Grantham then instead of bumping up his friend, I don't think UGA would have missed a beat. He also needs to be more involved in the play-calling because it is obvious that Bobo either still isn't ready...or simply never will be. Instead, well we all saw what happened and now he pretty much has this year to dig out of the hole he has put himself in. I hope he can, but who knows...

I think CMR is a good coach but sometimes those coaches loose control of the players and program. I think he gets this year to show he can once again get control. If not I think CKS will go there and I will not be happy about another CNS coach being in the SEC.

FWIW I pick UGA to win the East this year, but what do I know because I placed a bet in August while in Vegas for USC to win the East last year. Odds were really good and so was the payout. Actually might have only been the one bet I won that weekend.:)

Actually, I am not sure that Saban would have been a good fit at UGA. His brand of crazy has worked well at campuses whose fans enjoy the cult. UGA fans and players simply aren't there for the most part. Georgia high school coaches would have put up a huge outcry by his practice of running guys off constantly. Hell, just look how sensitive they are about all perceived slights from Athens. Just saying..

VERY WELL PUT MY FRIEND!!!

I know everybody loves Saban and all but I guarantee you that Saban and his staff would have been banned by several coaches here in this state by now. Some HS coaches out here will not put up with any crap from the instate schools, and especially not from a coach known for oversigning. The Carver Columbus coach banned our staff from his school temporarily a couple years back.

That's also why I think Tide Warrior and everyone else who thinks Smart has the opportunity to be our HC is DEAD WRONG. It will never work and not to mention that it would also divide the fanbase.

Haven't you heard? Georgia is the SEC program that does things the right way. They are well above tolerating the tactics of a Nick Saban even if it brought them multiple National Championships.:eek:lol:

As much as Smith, a U.S. Army All-American, likes FSU, he hinted that overtaking Alabama may not be easy to do.

"I like the coaching staff [at Alabama]," Smith said. "I've built good relationships with the people recruiting me - Coach [Burton] Burns and Coach [Chris] Rumph. I think I have a great opportunity there. It's the right situation. I like their scheme and Coach [Nick] Saban's philosophy as far as defense -- and off the field, building you as a person."

While Alabama, Tennessee and FSU are at the top, a fourth program has emerged as one to watch in the chase for Smith.

"I definitely want to go see Notre Dame," Smith said. "I'm taking that trip in the summertime."

You know how I can tell he is lying? This line:

Biggest load of crap I've ever heard. Nick Saban? Building anyone up as a person? :eek:lol:

Dead giveaway that he is simply playing the game. At least try to stick to things that could be believable, Geno. :p
You mad he isn't mentioning UGA at all?
