Notre Dame just got another DB committ. I think U can count Geno out in South Bend
Could have done that when ND had no DB commits, honestly. Agreed, though, with the guys the Irish have committed now, there is obviously no chance Geno ends up a leprechaun.
On a side note, Saban really should be coaching at ND. Would be an absolute perfect fit, head coach and mascot rolled into one...![]()
Imagine Saban at UGA. Going for their 3rd BCS NC and actually being productive with all that talent.![]()
No doubt. Considering all the in-state talent in he would have to work with, UGA would be dominating the SEC like nobody ever has. :neener2:
Seriously though, FWIW, I love Coach Richt and don't think we could find a finer PERSON to run our program. As a coach though, he has made some troubling decisions and his nearly-unmoving loyalty to some may end up his undoing. Had he done the smart thing when Van-Gorder left and gone and found a Grantham then instead of bumping up his friend, I don't think UGA would have missed a beat. He also needs to be more involved in the play-calling because it is obvious that Bobo either still isn't ready...or simply never will be. Instead, well we all saw what happened and now he pretty much has this year to dig out of the hole he has put himself in. I hope he can, but who knows...
Actually, I am not sure that Saban would have been a good fit at UGA. His brand of crazy has worked well at campuses whose fans enjoy the cult. UGA fans and players simply aren't there for the most part. Georgia high school coaches would have put up a huge outcry by his practice of running guys off constantly. Hell, just look how sensitive they are about all perceived slights from Athens. Just saying..

- RivalsAs much as Smith, a U.S. Army All-American, likes FSU, he hinted that overtaking Alabama may not be easy to do.
"I like the coaching staff [at Alabama]," Smith said. "I've built good relationships with the people recruiting me - Coach [Burton] Burns and Coach [Chris] Rumph. I think I have a great opportunity there. It's the right situation. I like their scheme and Coach [Nick] Saban's philosophy as far as defense -- and off the field, building you as a person."
While Alabama, Tennessee and FSU are at the top, a fourth program has emerged as one to watch in the chase for Smith.
"I definitely want to go see Notre Dame," Smith said. "I'm taking that trip in the summertime."
