This is why I'm not too concerned about taking Bonner. We have had some straight up thugs come through here. And it's no coincidence that most of them were when we were winning.

Everyone I've seen talk about him says he has 5 star talent but getting n trouble screwed his ranking up... I mean look at his offer list.. Kinda speaks for itself.

Sound like The DJ Hunter prospect a few years ago. Or maybe he got caught up with some hoodrat friends. Maybe a good kid with horrible associates which it sounds like. Was it DJ Hunter from Ohio shooting paintballs at people?

I'd like that to be true, but it just isn't. Those aren't real, commitable offers. Otherwise, he'd already be committed to one of those schools. He's a good player, he's SEC worthy, but he's not some world beating talent that we're going to get for 5 cents on the dollar. If he were that good, other elite schools, and not just us, would be taking a chance on him too.

How long is Bonner's rap sheet? One incident when he was 16 years old. Pretty sure you never did anything wrong growing up. No I didn't steal anything either but I know you may have taken a hit of alcohol or something. If you had gotten caught does it make you an alcoholic for being an underage drinker?

I agree. I believe he is a take, but on a short leash, unless we can get an equivalent prospect.

No I'm saying don't kill a kid for messing up. Bernard Hopkins a world champion boxer was convicted of armed robbery when he was a juvie. He's never been to jail again. Guys mess up sometimes you can't just give up on them.
