You must have missed the times he was given opportunities and then he would fumble.

Everyone else was so much better. I agree. Led the SEC in rushing, iirc. Dooley really helped Neal in his time here with the SEC caliber RB coach he had on staff.

Especially with Poole in front of him. I hope he stays and we move him back to RB.

SN: I don't know why we weren't playing every RB not named Poole. He blew so many running lanes last season. It was ridiculous. Hell Toney looked better than him. So glad he's outta here.

Poole is gone. Can you not let him go? Poole did the best he could with what he had to work with which happened to be better than Neal, Lane, or anyone else demonstrated they could do.

Toney looked good in one game and was completely ineffective otherwise.

The first thing is hanging on to the ball. If you can't do that, you can't play RB period.

He fumbled once more than Lane and lost one less than Lane. I guess Lane can't play RB either. I guess we'll have to put Tiny back at RB this year as a makeshift, since we don't have any RBs on the roster.

I believe Lane's TO's limited his playing time. That's not a very good "proof" for your point.... and honestly... I am not convinced UT DOES have a RB on the roster right now.

Poole played poorly and many here love to take shots at him. But even as poorly as he played... he was still a better option than anyone else on the roster. If Poole missed holes that were there.... could someone prove it by showing someone else hitting them?

Neal was no better. Lane was no better.... and at least Poole didn't fumble.

It is very disconcerting to me that UT does not seem to be able to latch onto a quality RB recruit with consideration to what they have coming back.

Neal at least has home run potential. He made the majority of UT's big plays in the biggest games.

Here's Pig Howard, No. 6, who looks pretty quick out here. He'll be getting looks in the slot this week.

Also, Howard is getting some snaps out here as a running back.

He's dropped a few balls, but he's very quick and shifty. I wonder if they'll do some wildcat with him this week.
