Just watched the highlight tape on Rivals. This dude is electric. He is a human pinball with tremendous hands.

I'm sure his size is a concern, but with an offer list and highlights like his this should be an easy call. Factor in that he plans to be an EE and it's a no brainer. I like this guy best as our speed back/clot WR/PR for this class.

You have to think from reading the article on Rivals we have an inside track if we want him. It would be cool to have him and Tom playing together here.

Howard's film is electric. Absolutely blazing speed.

And I would take Howard as an all-purpose/multi-dimensional player over Kimbrow and Norfleet.

I really like how this guy gets under the ball and how he goes up and gets it in traffic.

But, his qb is lights out. Those throws were on the money and he had a quick release.

If true, I really hope we are not missing on Patterson or Bowles. Maybe Alton is being viewed as a replacement for BK.

There is no doubt for me that "da pig" is a far better fit for our needs than either Kimbrow or Norfleet. In my personal opinion, he will be a superior football player in college and due to his versatility and overall athletic ability is actually someone we can use in multiple ways.

SEC football is not a track meet (Kimbrow) and showing out in a 7x7 does not equate to being a game changer when the pads are put on and 11 big, fast men on each side of the ball (Norfleet). I have not seen anything in either of these kids that make me want to use up a scholarship on them.

I am still unconvinced that we need another D Young size speedster on our team enough to use a scholarship on, but if the Staff decides we do, I like Howard significantly more than either Kimbrow or Norfleet.

just who is Devrin young to you guys? dude hasnt played a single down yet and now we only need one of him

that cracks me up.

God forbid we have two 5'9 or below players who can actually PLAY at a high level .

here's one, we already have Justin Hunter, so lets not recruit another tall, rail thin, fast high jumping WR ... we're good with one regardless if the next guy can actually play or not.

Doesn't make sense does it. Worst argument to not take a player, ever. Boy, I hope we don't get another Janzen Jackson. Only need one!

Tell Humphries to look around. We have James and Tiny - it'll be a few years before we need another OT.

He is being recruited to UT as a Slot Receiver. He is close to Tom Smith and he said "UT would be a great choice"

"Howard has previously visited UCF, Florida, and South Carolina. He plans to visit Tennessee in mid-July. As for Cincinnati and West Virginia, those will likely be visits reserved for the fall when Howard intends to use all five of his official visits. When on those visits, he hopes to learn all of the details about his future that he needs in order to make an informed decision.

"I am looking for the school that treats me overall the best and where I have the best connection with the coaches," Howard said. "I am also looking at their facilities, their football program, and how the place makes me feel overall. I also want to know how a school intends to use me."

As for his final decision, that will come at some point during the fall.

"I think I will decide probably around the end of November," Howard said. "I am going to be a mid-year graduate."

As a junior, Howard had 60 receptions for 1,146 yards. He added 546 rushing yards. In total, he scored 23 touchdowns, 15 of which came through the air." -Rivals
