I just cant get mad at a kid who doesnt want to play the "camp" game for whatever reason.

there's plenty of film on him and the eye in the sky dont lie.

he has the offers to back up his ranking but why show up to these camps then decline drills?...he went out to the Army combine to pass on the 1 on 1 drills....next Burton Scott :cray:

But why show up and then not do any of the drills? I think it shows a lack of work ethic and want to. The good ones can't wait to show off their skills vs. the best.

I agree that something is concerning about this.

shows lack of work ethic? thats kinda far fetched.

Kid works HARD.

not doing one on one drills is totally meaningless.

It's not far-fetched at all. If a sign of good work ethic is traveling to a lot of camps and competing against top talent, and it is generally, then not doing so would be a bad sign. Hard workers want to display their talent vs. the best.

It forces one to ask why he is refusing to compete in one on one drills? Is he lazy, is he scared? Something is surely amiss.

not doing one on one drills has nothign to do with his work ethic, sorry totally disagree.

work ethic is what you do at home, at practice, working with your team, bustign your butt in the weight room, and has zero to do with participating in trumped up one on one drills at some 3rd party's football showcase camp

I don't know about his work ethic but I have an issue with going to camps and combines then sitting out....just stay home or go to the gym.

fortunately for him, theres tape of him Dominating Top Comp on the actual football field

a 4 yr starter in arguably, the most competitive areas in the country

poor work ethic and scared sounds about right...

He has an alright work ethic and a good competitive drive. Thing is it's kind of crazy to show up and not do anything. I remember when I saw Sean Bailey at the Georgia Camp I was ready to go against him right then. I was out to prove a point. I guess he may be thinking there's nothing to prove without pads. Some guys are like that. Had a teammate that went to FSU that was a monster at FS in HS but he absolutely hated 7 on 7 camps. He said they were useless. Just how some players are. Sabo don't criticize the guys work ethic unless you see him slacking at real practice. I do admit though it is strange for him not to participate. He could just stay at the house and let someone else have that spot.

S Deon Bush, 6-1/177, Miami (Fla.) Columbus
Strengths: Bush played cornerback and safety during the B2G Elite Camp and was fantastic, showed top-level speed and recovery and was competitive all weekend. There is no doubt that Bush can probably cover any receiver in the country and coming out to California shows he wants to compete and improve his game.

everyone else talks about this kid being competitive except Luke Stampini... whats up with that??? I wawtched Luke S Live Tweet all negative stuff about this kids performance at his spring game while back. kinda made me wonder whats Luke's motivation?

Told me today that it is between Bama and The Barn. They are traveling to see them both this week.
