I expect him to be red shirted, but one thing that will stand out about him is his leadership. If they aren't happy with the leadership they are getting from the QBs they have now, it wouldn't surprise me to see him used some this coming season.

For his sake, I hope he getting red shirted so he will get the chance to learn the system before being thrown into the fire.

I agree with u on the importance of the RS for him...in a perfect world. To bad we aren't in that world right now. He will be the 3rd string qb coming in hands down and anything can happen from that spot. No one ever mentions how depleted we were at the QB spot when CDD came in. Bray was a solid pickup but hasn't proven to be that championship QB everyone thinks he can be.

True enough. You never know what can happen. I hope he comes in and impresses everyone.

Brays the best qb we have had since Casey Clausen. How is he not a championship Qb? He doesn't have a supporting class to win a championship...thats why.

I didn't say he wasn't. I'm one that thinks he can be. Just said he hasn't proven it yet that's all. When he beats fl, uga, bama, and other big boys then I will say he has proven it. Until then he hasn't proven anything yet..IMHO.

I'm glad we have Worley with some playing time and have a player that looks as good as NP coming in. Hopefully Bray will start to dedicate himself more to football, and drop the extracurriculars he is known for.

I'm sure he will Dep. His video looks great. Only thing that I saw that concerned me (may be the video angles though) is that I can tell where most of his passes were going. Seems like the plays had a couple receivers in the areas each time so that could be it too, but his head was pointing there most of the time. I do like how he scrambles and keeps his head down field.

Btw - Thanks for all ur updates on NP through his recruitment.

Cant put all the blame on Bray. Zero running performance all year. Teams just drop 7 back. Its hard to prove anything being single handed.

I understand ur pt and agree. I'm not blaming him though. Just saying that the glimpses of great qb are there but just hasn't proven it yet. May not had the chance to yet with other factors, but just hasn't done it. He needs to step up and be a true leader though as that is a part of proving it also.

We got too many flaws to blame one player or position. We've got to get better in every spot before we can single out anybody.

He's singled out cause he is the starting QB for UT. That's why. He's not a rb, linemen, trainer, equipment mgr, position coach. He is the single most important player on the team. He needs to accept that leadership position, and mature real quick.

There was no leadership on the offensive side of the ball this yr, and this is one of the biggest flaws we have. That's solely on Brays shoulders like it or not.

If being "singled out" is an issue for him then he needs to either grow up and accept it or just move on.

I still don't see your beef with Bray. Leadership is earned by respect. How do you know these players don't respect him? We were not a good team last year, but without bray we really sucked.

First...I think he can be a great qb. So want to clear up that I don't have anything against him in that way. Second...Yes being respected can be an important part of being a successful leader, but doesn't mean without one u can't have the other. Respect doesn't always comes first for someone to lead. Sometimes respect is earned by leadership.

I don't know if they do or don't respect him. But just because u r respected doesn't make u a leader. I don't see him leading the way a QB at the level he is at should lead. Granted thats just my opinion and what I notice from my couch. At the same time that's the same way I see other QBs too, and I can tell which ones r and aren't.

OK I see how this is gonna go...How can Bray expect to beat a good team with what we don't have? No running game, No dline, and no kickers.

Our d didn't lose games this yr. Our offensive woes did.

Btw this yr is a tough yr to judge by for many reasons and I give u that and understand. But my "beef" per se is that I'm concerned with his maturity, his preparation, his extracurricular "activities", etc. Since he got here he was tapped the star stud next manning etc. He looks back and there is no one to give him the competition to take it away. That's what my original statement was referring to. I'm glad we finally have some solid depth at QB, and hope he now becomes the leader/winner we need him to or Worley/Peterman will take his spot. I hope Bray does it cause he can be special, but he still needs to prove IMHO. There are no participation trophies anymore...there's first place and 2nd place is the first loser.

I promise that every starting qb at every school is out getting hammered.

i'm gonna stop you right there...if you don't think our D had serious issues with depth, size, and talent this year then I need to ask you what team you were watching this year??

I never said that our d didn't have issues. Just said from what saw our O was the biggest problem. Ie Our d didn't lose the KY game our O did. If O could have kept the ball more and been more productive our D could have sustained itself better through the issues it had is my opionion.

Every is a big word but I'm sure high percentage do. But I'm sure some balance it better than others. Everyones brain and body takes "partying" differently. One needs to figure out how to best do it for themselves and balance it or it hurts them.

Ie..I find that I "party" best if I drink 7-8 beers to ease up to my Turkey and gingers. Makes my "partying" more enjoyable and last longer into the night. I have a buddy that starts the night with vodka drinks from the get go and doesn't stop until he drops. To each their own.
